Nollywood Actress, and mother of two, Funke Akindele-Bello and her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello aka JJC Skillz, have both pleaded guilty to the one-count charge levelled against them.
They pleaded guilty to the one-count charge of defiling the orders of the Lagos state government on public gatherings and social distancing. Akindele and her husband, were today Monday, 6th of April arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court in Ogba, by the Lagos State Government and the state police command for the alleged violation of the lockdown order to check the spread of coronavirus. The charge was filed by the Attorney General of Lagos State, Moyosore Onigbanjo.
The couple were arrested for holding a house party in their Amen estate home on Saturday, April 4 despite the restriction in movement and social distancing order issued by the state government as part of measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the state. Akindele and her husband both pleaded guilty after the charge was read to them. The magistrate is being awaited to deliver her verdict.
