It’s common practice for a man to have more than one wife since it is acceptable in most cultures but what reaction do you get when a woman has more than one husband talk more of actually having seven?
Surprised right? Well, that is the case of an African traditionalist who shared that she has 7 husbands and if told by her ancestors to get more husbands, she would gladly marry more.
According to her, she is a powerful spiritualist and none of her husbands would dare cheat or think of leaving her as she would know of their future infidelity through her powers before it ever happens. She proudly revealed that she has built a house for each of her husbands which allows her to have intercourse with whoever she chooses whenever she wants.
For those that might be wondering how the men are behaving in the marriage, the traditional healer is reportedly living in peace with all of them.
In some parts of India, China and Africa, polyandry is still being practiced and hasn’t been considered illegal nor abnormal. If that is the case, why is it not practiced in Nigeria? Why is it frowned at? Is it against our culture, norms and values?
