On the 22nd of October, 2020, Nigerian youths engaged in a nationwide Endsars protests where they protested against police brutality and the disbursement of SARS.

During the Endsars protest, some hoodlums were arrested for allegedly setting ablaze a government property in Ondo, Akure, and among those arrested was a young teenager named Kemisola Ogunniyi. She was pregnant when she was arrested by the Nigerian police.

Fortunately for her, she gave birth to a baby some weeks ago. Since her delivery, many human rights activists and lawyers has taken up her case to ensure that she is released from prison so as to take proper care of her new born baby.

Fortunately for her, she has been granted bail by the Judge today at the Ondo state High court, Akure.

This was revealed by her lawyer who announced to the pressmen that Kemisola Ogunniyi would be leaving the prison in the next hour, from the time he made the statement.

Kemisola's lawyer revealed that it was important that she is released today.

The lawyer stated that Kemisola has been released on bail and bail has granted. He revealed that the took Kemisola's case seriously because that don't want the naming ceremony of her child to take prison at the prison yard.

We are indeed happy that Kemisola Ogunniyi would be released today, so that she would take proper care of her child, and may she always endeavour to stay away from trouble.

Kemisola Ogunniyi was granted bail by the Judge based on Humanitarian grant and naming ceremony.
