Embattled Nigerian socialite, popularly known as Ray Hushpuppi, according to a press statement by United States Department of Justice alleged that he bribed Nigeria’s celebrated police officer and head of IGP Intelligence Response Team, DCP Abba Alhaji Kyari, to arrest a co-fraudster, Vincent, in a whopping $1.1m deal, US court documents reveal.
According to the press statement, “a federal grand jury indictment unsealed this week alleges an elaborate scheme to steal more than $1.1 million from a business person attempting to finance the construction of a school for children in Qatar – and the subsequent laundering of illicit proceeds through bank accounts around the world”.
