Don’t Solicit Funds For My Medical Treatment, Sunday Igboho Warns

IBADAN – Yoruba Nation Agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, who is popularly known as Sunday Igboho has warned that he has never asked any individual or group to raise funds on account of his ill-health.

Sunday Igboho was speaking in reaction to a report alleging funds raising and voluntary donations from the members of the public to help him secure medical attention.

Igboho who is currently being detained in a Beninoise prison has been reported to have suffered an undisclosed health challenge which saw him being rushed to a hospital for medical attention.

In a statement through his spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, the Igboho born agitator warned those behind the effort to desist.

He also seized the opportunity to appeal to the government of the Benin Republic to allow him to travel to Germany to seek proper medical attention.

The statement entitled: “Chief Sunday Adeyemo has not asked for money towards his Medical treatment” and signed by Koiki reads in parts “I have just received a message from the lawyer of Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Igboho to advice and tell the general public that he has not asked anyone, any of his security men or groups of people to demand money towards his medical treatment in the Benin Republic.

“Information says some individuals have been collecting money for the chief’s medical treatment bill. Yes, Chief Sunday Adeyemo is not feeling well like we have reported and we are still using this medium to ask the Government of Benin to please allow him to travel for proper medical treatment for his illness.

“If anyone is not sure of someone calling you for payment towards chief’s treatment, please contact me, Olayomi Koiki, his spokesman.”
