Actor Yomi Fabiyi Shares Beautiful Memories With Baba Suwe

 


Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has shared some of the beautiful memories with veteran actor Babatunde Omidina better known as Baba Suwe.

Esabod Global News earlier reported that the comic actor who dominated the Yoruba movie industry for decades as an actor and producer died today November 22nd after battling with an undisclosed illness.

Confirming his death, Mr Latin, the president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria, in a chat with PUNCH said “It has been confirmed that Baba Suwe is dead. I just got off the phone with his son who confirmed that the actor is dead. I don’t have much details about his death.”

Taking to his Instagram page, Yomi Fabiyi who seemed very close to the deceased shared some of their funny memories.

In a special tribute to Baba Suwe, Yomi Fabiyi recalled how the comic actor gave him the first step in the Nollywood industry 20 years ago.

Yomi Fabiyi appreciates the decease for his kindness, playing a fatherly role in his life, and making his dream a reality.

He wrote: You gave me the first step in this industry through this movie 20years ago. I don’t know how to start or how to approach you then but you discovered and encouraged me. And you prayed for me.

You qualify as my father, you are my father and you played your fatherly role. No human is perfect but if anything you did, you gave this dream of mine a reality. You lifted me and I appreciate all your kindness.

Pressy, you said you will wait for me to return. You are the best person that laughs at my jokes even when they are not funny. You love and appreciate me jealously.

Go and rest sir, The King of Comedy, Baba Suwe, Omi ose tanikoko, oni pari esin. My number 1 comedian, you are simply the best. Go and rest, you fought hard sir. I will be your fan forever.
