'Laide Bakare Apologizes To Yomi Fabiyi After Top Yoruba Movie Stars Shunned Son’s Naming Ceremony

Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare has shown that she bears no grudge or hard feelings towards her male colleague, Yomi Fabiyi who had a grand ceremony to mark the naming of his son in Ikorodu Lagos on Thursday, February 17, 2022.

Laide who wasn’t present at the actor’s son naming ceremony yesterday, February 17 has apologised to him and blamed movie work ethics for missing the big day.

She stated that she got stucked on movie set, hence the reason for her absence.

She promised to make it up to him and his family.

“Huge congratulations darling. Daddy Korede sos Orry I couldn’t make it to the Naming Ceremony. It’s the work we they Do o, I actually got stucker on movie set. Will surely make it up to you and our Baby and mum”.

Esabod Global News previously reported that only few celebrities showed their support for him.

Surprisingly, Prince Jide Kosoko was among the few attendees; his daughter Sola Kosoko, Iya Eweko, Yemi my lover, Lola Idije were spotted at the event.

Actresses Kemi Afolabi Adesipe and Jayeola Monje showed their support for him by congratulating him on their respective Instagram pages.

However many top actors and actresses like Mercy Aigbe, Iyabo Ojo, Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Yinka Quandri, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Adedimeji Lateef, Mo Bimpe and many others shunned the event.

This could be due to the controversial lifestyle the actor lived last year.

He gained lots of haters when he stood up for embattled colleague, Baba Ijesha who is facing rape charges for defiling comedian Princess’s foster daughter.
