Actress Nancy Isime Rejoices As Ooni Of Ife Honours Her In Grand Style

 


Nollywood actress and media personality, Nancy Isime has been honoured by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi for her outstanding contribution to the entertainment industry and Nigeria as a whole.

The Ooni of Ife had on Saturday, May 21st awarded 100 outstanding young individuals in celebration of their feats.

Nancy Isime who flew to Ile Ife, Osun State to receive her award took to her Instagram page to appreciate the Ooni for the privilege.

Nancy Isime revealed that she was beyond honoured to be among the awardees.

She appreciated the Ooni and the people of Ife for the honor.

“RAYLF 2022. Today, @ooniadimulafe awards 100 outstanding young individuals in celebration of their Feats. Beyond honored that I get to be one of those Awardees. Thanksful to his Majesty @ooniadimulaife and the great people of life”.

Esabod Global news recalls Nancy Isime had opened up on her childhood experiences.

The ‘Nancy Isime show’ host revealed that the trauma she passed through as a child made her a men pleaser.

She made this known in an interview with actress cum host Lilian Afegbai, where she revealed that her inability to get the attention she required as a child made her a people pleaser.

For her, while growing up, she wanted people to like her.

She said, “I don’t force myself on anybody. I used to be a people pleaser but that came from childhood trauma. It came from childhood trauma where you’ll be looking for attention as a child and you didn’t get it. When you get older, you start waning people to like you. So even if it’s breaking you, even if you know that this person doesn’t like you and has said shit about you, you think maybe they can change their minds”.

Speaking on how she overcame it, she alluded self love for helping her out.

“But learning to love myself and being intuitive helped me to heal from being a people pleaser”.
