“No more use of soft drinks, paracetamol, energy drinks, others” – Jide Kosoko reads the riot act as he kicks against drug abuse following his new appointment

Nollywood actor, Prince Jide Kosoko has issued out a statement against drug abuse following his recent appointment.

Taking to his Instagram page to share a photo of him dressed in NDLEA outfit, he declared himself the New Chairman of NDLEA as he read the riot act to the public.

He revealed that he would be banning the use of Karaole, Alabukun, phensic, paracetamol, cafenol, painstaking drugs, soft drinks, energy drinks, man power or bitters and many more. He stated that he only recommends and approve the use of water.

“Enough… Enough of this general sickness of continuos abuse of drugs.

 As I resume today as the new chairman of NDEAL, The following are hereby banned . No more use of Karaole, Alabukun, phensic, paracetamol, cafenol..infact all painstaking drugs, all soft drinks, energy drinks, man power or bitters, no more diabetic or high blood pressure drugs. The only drug hereby recommended and approved by me is WATER. BUT IF U LIKE YOURSELF CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR. I MAY ALLOW ONLY YOU FROM USING WHATEVER YOU WANT. CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR IF HE IS NOT ON HARD DRUG. I JUST SAY I SHOULD WARN O MUTE. @tundeolaoyedirect”.


Last year, Nigerian singer, Naira Marley had appealed to his millions of fans to refrain from substance abuse.

The singer visited the NDLEA headquarters, and met with the Chairman, Buba Marwa, where he declared his support for the war against substance abuse and pleaded with his fans to join the agency in combatting drug abuse in the country.

Actress, Toyin Abraham had appealed to Nigerians, who are fond of using drugs. She noted how drugs would mess up one’s life, as she promised to provide help to them.

Ex BBNaija housemate, Alex Unusual, questioned the reasoning behind incessant drug abuse. She revealed that the three things she could never do regardless of peer pressure are dating married men, smoking and using drugs.
