Oshodi-Isolo Council Chairman, Oloyede Continues School Feeding for Special Needs Pupils in Oshodi Central Primary School

In his characteristics manner of showing love, support and empathy to the people, the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has continued his school feeding efforts for special needs pupils of Oshodi Central primary school.

The feeding program of the council chairman which started since resumption of second term of the 2023/2024 academic session is to augment the intervention of the state government and complement the shortfall in the areas of feeding of the pupils.

Oloyede noted that due to the peculiar nature of some of the pupils of the school, there is need to give them special attention in order to unleash the greatness in them.

The feeding effort by the council chairman will further encourage the pupils to go to school as well as reducing the financial burden on their parents.

Observing the seamless sharing of the sumptuous meal, the Head Teacher of the school, Mrs. Odesola appreciated the council chairman for his continued interventions and support for the school.

In her words; "I want to appreciate our chairman, Hon. Kendoo for his love for the children and support for the school. He has really helped us by feeding the children since the beginning of last term.

The children are always looking forward to the meal and on behalf of the children and the staff, we say a big thank you to him."

The feeding program of Oshodi Central primary school is yet another initiative of the Oloyede administration towards supporting the educational system in the local government.

The council chairman has distributed customised school bags to the schools in the seven wards of the local government, he has also purchased a bus that picks and drops off students free of charge.

He has procured educational materials for some schools and placed several indigent students on scholarship.

Oloyede admonished the pupils of the primary school to see abilities in their disabilities. He stressed that they should not allow anything or anyone hold them down or tell them they can not attain greatness. He cited Albert Einstein as a classical exemple, noting that inspite of his health status of autism, he ended up becoming one of the greatest physicists.

He also appreciated the efforts of their teachers, while urging them to continue showing understanding and compassion while teaching and putting them through.

The council honcho reiterated that as a government and a father, he will continue giving education the needed priority.

He said; "My message to our pupils at Oshodi Central primary school is short. They are beautiful boys and girls with greatness in them. They should not allow anything, not even their health status, to hold them down.

I am routing for them and as a government, we shall continue to support our educational sector and support our children for a greater tomorrow."
