A woman has shown how she washes Okro before cooking with it.

She explained that she buys her Okro from the Afro shop near her and a lot of “hands” touch the Okro so it needs to be washed properly before use.
She then showed herself washing Okro thoroughly in the sink with dish soap and a sponge.
As she washed, she said: "Okro is not something you peel at the skin and use what's remaining inside. This is what is going directly into your stomach.
“So, the proper way to use your Okro is to wash it with soap and a sponge.”
After scrubbing the Okro with sponge and dishwashing soap, she rinsed and then chopped them for cooking.
