Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has recounted how her mother and family were against her marriage to an older politician, Ned Nwoko.

The light-skinned screen goddess, in an Instagram live session with her friends, shut down claims that she had no choice when she married Ned. Regina made them know that she had over 20 boyfriends when she met Ned Nwoko and was visiting one of them when she met Ned.

The mother of two admonished ladies not to allow their boyfriends to stop them from meeting their husbands as she promised to share her natural story someday.

“I was going to visit my boyfriend, I was so angry, I was like mum, ‘Why do we all need to go visit and go sightseeing?’. But when we got there, we met a cute man. Moral of the story: Your boyfriend should not stop you from finding your husband.

When I saw him with my husband, I forgot I was supposed to have a boyfriend. At that time, I had like 20 boyfriends. All serving different purposes. When people think I didn’t have a choice or my mum forced me, not knowing that my mum was against it. My full family said No, but one day, I am going to share our story”.

Regina Daniels shocked the internet when she married in April 2019, to politician, Ned Nwoko, who is older than her with 38 years.

Shedding light on her marriage, Regina said she is the stubborn type, so she married an older man so she could be submissive. Her husband, on his part, debunked rumours that he met Regina through her mother as he revealed that they fell in love and got married within three weeks.

In May, the couple celebrated their 5th anniversary with a clip of them doing a photoshoot. Regina stated that the past five years have been a remarkable one for them, with so much love to show for it. Ned Nwoko also described the past five years with her as good and eventful, as he stated they were just starting.
