"I am not his brother but his father. I was the one who raised him for 10 years” – Kunle Afolayan says following reconciliation with his brother, Aremu Afolayan (Video)

Nollywood filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has spoken out following his reconciliation with his younger brother, Aremu Afolayan.

Esabod Global News  reported that the brothers, who were at loggerheads for years, had reunited following the death of their mother. A video on Instagram captured the siblings sitting together at his film village in Komu, Oyo State, chatting with friends who were present for their mother’s burial rites. They tagged one another on their respective social media pages and this left many excited.

At their mother’s wake keep on Friday, Kunle Afolayan stated that he isn’t just Aremu’s brother but his father. He noted how he was the one who raised him for 10 years and blamed ladies for spoiling his mind and tearing them apart.

He said, “I am not his brother, I’m his father, I was the one that raised him for 10 years. You ladies are the one pushing him away from him”.

Reacting to it, One Privilege Beauty_2008 wrote, “Their mama will be proud of them

One Kidboss wrote, “This is beautiful to see.

One Alaga. amuludun wrote, “Nothing like siblings loving each other

One Amoke_place wrote, “So happy for them

One Arewa_bukkyamosbello wrote, “Why am I crying?? This really touched my heart”.

Esabod Global News recalls that Kunle Afolayan announced his mother’s death on his Instagram page a few days ago.

He shared that his mother’s demise is hard to accept, but her good life is a comfort to them. He also sought prayers for himself and his family during this phase. His siblings also took to their respective social media pages to announce her death.

Entertainment stars, including Nollywood veterans, took to their respective media pages to mourn with the Afolayans and send their tributes. Actors like Jide Kosoko, Adebayo Salami, Lola Idije, Femi Adebayo, Anthar Laniyan, Lola Idije, and Dele Odule, among others, mourned Mrs Afolaan’s death.

The Afolayan brothers’ rift started years ago when Aremu allegedly dissed his family in the post and called their father a poor man.
