My dad trained my siblings and I in school instead of getting chieftaincy titles - US-based Nigerian man says as he celebrates his father

A US-based Nigerian man, Ifeanyi Eze, has appreciated his father for investing in his children's education instead of getting chieftaincy titles.

“When my dad was younger, he trained my siblings and I in school instead of getting chieftaincy titles. He will be 75yrs this March and we’re celebrating him with Emume investiture, which ranks him as agbalanze in my community. Next step will be Ọzọ induction,” the PhD student wrote in a Facebook post.
