It is no longer breaking news that Lizzy Anjorin—well-known for her controversial remarks on social media—alongside the Nigerian Police Force, orchestrated the unlawful arrest of Kofoworola Akanji on July 23, 2025.

Despite clear instructions from the esteemed AIG at Zone 2, who advised that the matter was not a police issue and should be resolved privately, Kofoworola Akanji was unexpectedly charged to court the very next day and subsequently detained at Kirikiri for alleged offenses she did not commit.

Demonstrating remarkable courage, Kofoworola Akanji has taken legal action by filing a countersuit and seeking enforcement of her fundamental human rights.

The case has been adjourned to August 21, 2025, when widespread media coverage, numerous concerned citizens, and human rights activists from across Nigeria are expected to attend.
