A United Kingdom-based Nigerian woman, Christy Oluwabunmi Oyewole, has petitioned the Ogun State House of Assembly, accusing a traditional ruler, Oba Adekeye Adeyemi Olanrewaju, the Abepa of Joga Orile in Yewa North Local Government Area, of fraudulently exploiting her under the guise of marriage.
Oyewole detailed how the monarch allegedly deceived her into a f@k€ marriage and defr@uded her of over N115 million, including N65 million in cash, jewelry worth N50 million, and other personal properties such as mobile phones.
“It is with p@!n that I write to the Ogun State House of Assembly about my ordeal in the hands of an Ogun monarch,”
“Oba Adekeye Adeyemi Olanrewaju has fr@udulently taken all my l!f€ savings.”
The monarch approached her for marriage following the collap$€ of her previous marriage due to d0m€$t!c v!0ence.
“It was later that I discovered that the divorce and marriage papers he provided were outrightly f@k€ and masterminded by the monarch to sc@m me.”
When I realised that he had dup€d me, I tried everything humanly possible to retrieve my money and properties from him but he has continued to use his position as a monarch to evade justice.”
“I am str@nd€d. I am confident that with your intervention, I can get my l!f€ back on track. I hope for your positive response.”
