Confirming the incident, the state police command's spokesperson, Loveth Odah, said a hunter discovered the body and reported to community leaders, who went to the forest with the elder brother of the deceased for confirmation.

They should have also been eager to know what led to her committing suicide. There is a saying that life begins at 40, so someone taking her life at 40 sounds strange.”the police spokeswoman said
Residents of the community allege that the deceased had made similar attempts to take her life in the past. She reportedly had a mental problem and had disappeared from public domain since December 25th last year.
The family members gave up searching for her only to hear now that she had committed suicide.
Her body has been released to the family for burial since no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
