INEC to hold supplementary elections March 9

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Friday said it will hold supplementary elections on March 9 in places where elections were declared inconclusive last Saturday.
The supplementary elections were to run simultaneously with the Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
INEC, in a statement on its twitter handle said it decided after its meeting that supplementary elections should be held on March 9 where elections did not take place.
“Consequently, the meeting decided that supplementary elections will be conducted in all areas where elections did not take place and/or where returns could not be made on Saturday, March 9th, 2019, alongside governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections,” it said.
