Blogger Makes Shocking Revelation About Bobrisky’s Imprisonment As His Release Date Circulates

 

Nigerian blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus has made a startling revelation about the imprisonment of famous crossdresser Bobrisky. According to her, Bobrisky was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in April for the abuse of the Naira. He was arraigned before a Lagos court, where he pleaded guilty and requested leniency from the judge, promising to use his social media platforms to educate his followers against Naira abuse. However, the judge did not accept his plea and sentenced him to six months in jail at Ikoyi Correctional Center.

SDK has now alleged on her Instagram page that Bobrisky will be released from jail on August 5th, 2024. The blog claims that although Bobrisky has been in jail, he has not been deprived of internet and call time and has only been restricted from leaving the facility.

Fakorede, infamous for his exploits in Ajiran communities, has allegedly partnered with a faction of the Oni Orisan family, exploiting his expertise in land grabbing.

In a recent development, Fakorede accused of manipulating the Lagos State High Court to issue an unlawful execution order. This order, facilitated by the court’s sheriff, targeted Oko Orisan village based on a judgment (Suit No: M/762/2012) that had already been executed in 2023. Fakorede’s actions highlight his desperation and cunning in land grabbing.

 

Fakorede has also involved Dr. Muiz Banire, SAN, a reputable Senior Advocate of Nigeria, to lend credibility to his schemes. Unbeknownst to Banire, Fakorede has allegedly been leveraging his influence to solicit support from top police officers, including DIG Abiodun Alabi and DCP SWAT, to stall any investigations into his activities.

 

Aare Bashiru Fakorede claimed to have history of using legal and police apparatus to further his land grabbing activities. He previously arrested some youths from Oju Ota Village at Alagbon, pressuring them to implicate Saheed Ibile falsely. Fakorede’s manipulation of the legal system is evident in his engagement of influential legal figures and police officers to mislead and stall investigations.

 

Fakorede’s recent actions involve the demolition of perimeter fences on lands owned by Harmony Gardens and Estate Development Limited. Despite a Federal High Court order restraining Fakorede and the police from interfering with these properties, Fakorede continues his illegal activities, causing significant losses for Harmony Gardens.

 

Fakorede’s alleged tactics include creating factions within families and communities, offering bribes to sow discord, and strategically hijacking properties sold to innocent investors. This strategy was evident in the Oju-Ota Gazette land case, where Fakorede conspired with Modupe Oni Orisan and Ade Dosunmu to feign ignorance of the sale of land to Harmony Gardens, which was legally acquired from the Oko Orisan, Oni Orisan, and Obadimeji Oshodi families.

 

Harmony Gardens and Estate Development Limited legally acquired the land through a deed of assignment executed by Pa Moshood Babatunde Oni Orisan, the head of the Oni Orisan family. Despite this, Fakorede continues to claim representation of the Oni Orisan family, misleading authorities and violating court orders.

The public is urged to recognize the plight of affected communities and the manipulations by Fakorede and his cohorts. The Inspector General of Police, DIG Force CID, CP Lagos, and the Lagos State Government are called upon to investigate Fakorede and his associates, ensuring that the law prevails against land grabbing activities.

 

Fakorede’s activities have led to significant losses for Harmony Gardens, including the theft of payloaders worth 180 million Naira. The call for justice extends to preventing further violations of property rights and protecting the interests of legitimate landowners and investors.

 

However, Reports have surfaced that on Monday, 22nd July 2024, Modupe Oni Orisan, accompanied by police officers from Zone 2 and hoodlums, led an attack on the property of Harmony Gardens and Estates Development Ltd. The group caused extensive damage, with estimates exceeding one billion naira.

 

The situation escalated when irate youths from Oko Orisan apprehended Modupe Oni Orisan and the hoodlums, handing them over to the CP Lagos crack team. During the altercation, the Zone 2 police officers overseeing the forceful takeover fled the scene.

 

Upon arrival, the estate owner, Hon. Dr. Saheed Mosadoluwa urged the youths to avoid taking the law into their own hands and to allow the police to handle the situation. The extent of the damages inflicted by the hoodlums is currently estimated at over one billion naira.

Courts Jail 25 Internet Fraudsters in Oyo, Osogbo The Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction and sentencing of 25 internet fraudsters before seven different judges, sitting in Federal and State High Courts, respectively in Ibadan, Oyo State and Osogbo, Osun State. The convicts are: Tomiwa Olumide Ayodele, Adeniyi Kehinde Nuhu, Adeniyi Warris Adegbola, Toyeeb Abayomi Ijadunola, Isiah Akinyele kehinde, Oluwadunsin Johnson Alabi, Muis Lawal Gbolahan, Adeyinka Kola Adeleye, Sodiq Iyanu Babatunde, Ojo Blessing Adeniyi, Akinrinwoye Victor Olamide, Olaloye Olanrewaju Kinsley, Daniel Olashile Maiye and Omolade Opeyemi Oluwaseyi. Others include: Olamide Adekunle Adeoye, Kazeem Makinde Olawale, Malik Olamilekan Ayoade, Emmanuel Ayomide Ojubanire, Dada Bamidele John, Henry Ogochukwu Ikeh, Faruq Omoleye Adeola, Oluyole Ayobami Emmanuel, Ayodele Micheal Damilola, Adaramoye Abayomi, and Yussuf Quadri Abiodun. They were prosecuted on one-count separate charges, excepting Nuhu who faced two-count charges. The charges bordered on impersonation, cheating, possession of fraudulent documents and obtaining by false pretence. The charge against Abiodun reads: “That you, Yussuf Quadri Abiodun ‘M’, sometimes in May, 2024 at Ede, Osun State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to gain advantage for yourself impersonated one Josh Rita, a female from United States of America through Facebook Account to one Jesus Valdez, wherein you obtained the sum of $1420 USD (One Thousand, Four Hundred and Twenty United States of America Dollars) the pretext you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 22(2)(b)(i) and punishable under Section 22(2)(b)(iv) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2024.” That of Abayomi reads: “That you, Adaramoye Abayomi ‘M’ on or about 20th May, 2024 within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to gain advantage for yourself, falsely impersonated one Greg Fernando, a male from the United States of America through Tiktok Account with username @greg4082 and chatted with one Ann Wesley and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 22(2)(b)(i) and punishable under Section 22(2)(b)(iv) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2024.” They all pleaded “guilty” to their charges when they were read to them, upon which prosecution counsel: Oluwatoyin Owodunni, Modupe Akinkoye, Oyelakin Oyediran, Sanusi Galadanchi, Lanre Suleiman, Mabas Mabur, Shamsuddeen, Umar Abiso, Abiddeen Muhammad, Adamu Sahabi, Fatima Baba, David Olubode and Favour Adewunmi prayed the courts to convict and sentence them accordingly. Justice M. Salisu of the Osun State High Court, sitting in Osogbo convicted and sentenced Ayodele, Nuhu, Adegbola and Ijadunola to one year imprisonment each or to pay a fine of N1million (One Million Naira) each. Nuhu forfeited a Toyota Camry car, 2005 Model with Registration number: APP – 572 – GR to the federal government and also to restitute the sum of N415, 000.00 (Four Hundred and Fifteen Thousand Naira) to his victim. Ijadunola forfeited a grey-coloured Toyota Camry car to the federal government and to restitute the sum of N2,500,000.00 (Two Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira) to his victim. He also convicted and sentenced Kehinde to one year jail term or to pay a fine of N500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) and slammed Alabi with six months imprisonment or to pay a fine of N300, 000.00 (Three Hundred Thousand Naira) Abayomi got six months imprisonment or to pay a fine of N250,000.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira), while Abiodun bagged eight months imprisonment or to pay a fine of N500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira). He forfeited his grey-coloured TVS motorcycle.

A fire outbreak, suspected to have been set by unidentified persons, has destroyed parts of the palace at Gidan Rumfa, where the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, resides.

Sources within the palace reported that the affected area was at Kofar Kudu, a section where the Emir holds court sessions every Monday. “It was the palace at Kofar Kudu. You know the palace has an entrance from inside while the main entrance is from the front (outside). The key was forced open and what was suspected was that they broke in, set the fire and locked the door,” said a source.

The fire reportedly destroyed the throne, air conditioners, and other valuables within the palace. Despite the severity of the damage, the Kano State Fire Service was not notified.

The State Fire Service Public Relations Officer, Saminu Yusif Abudullahi, stated, “The command was not aware of the incident as there was no call regarding the incident at any of the agency’s centres.”

However, confirming the incident, the Chief of Staff to the 16th Kano Emir, Munir Sanusi Bayero, who is the Dan Buram Kano, issued a statement on Saturday morning. “On Saturday, 13th July 2024 morning, a fire incident occurred at the outer court of His Highness’s Palace, Kofar Kudu. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and the damage was minimal,” he said.

Social media influencer Sir Jarus in police custody over alleged domestic violence

 

Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) said social media influencer Suraj Oyewale aka Sir Jarus has been arrested.

The influencer has been a subject of discourse on X following controversial posts he made about his wife.

In the post, he accused his wife Oyewale Ayoola of engaging in “fetish practices” and “provocative behaviour”.

According to him, her practices led to a “physical altercation” between them.

He has since deleted the posts.

On June 28, the DSVA said it had referred the case to the police for investigation

The agency said, “Our attention has been drawn to a tweet made by @SirJarus.

“As the Statutory Agency in Lagos State dedicated to preventing and responding to domestic and sexual violence, we take this very seriously.

“Domestic violence in any form is unacceptable, and the Lagos State Government maintains a zero-tolerance stance against it.

“We have, as an Agency referred this to the Commissioner of Police (Gender Desk Department) to ensure that investigation commences. We appreciate everyone who tagged us and brought this to our attention.”

Giving an update on Wednesday, the agency said Sir Jarus was in police custody.

QEDNG learnt that Sir Jarus filed a lawsuit seeking to dissolve his 13-year marriage to Ayoola.

During a meeting with the management team of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, the chairman of EFCC expressed his views on the matter. These remarks were made known in a statement by the EFCC's Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, on Tuesday. He said, “When I look at some case files and see the humongous amount of money stolen, I wonder how we are still surviving. If you see some case files, you will weep. The way they move unspent budget allocation to private accounts in commercial banks before midnight at the end of a budget circle, you will wonder what kind of spirit drives us as Nigerians,” “A situation where somebody would hold a public office or position of trust for years and you call him to account and he says No, he would not account, is not acceptable.” “He insisted that the preventive framework of tackling corruption offers more prospects of results and impact.  To this end, the EFCC now has a Department of Fraud Risk and Assessment and Control “Let’s look at our system of revenue generation. It is a system that allows leakages in mobilisation and appropriation of funds. If we don’t look at the system, we will continue to chase shadows. In this direction, we are not just going to investigate and recover; what we have decided to do in the EFCC is Policy Review.  If we can block some of these leakages and have 50 per cent of capital project execution in Nigeria, the country would be fine,”

As the state on Wednesday witnessed a nine hour torrential rain that left some parts of the state and also some parts of Oshodi-Isolo Council area flooded, a call has gone to market women and men as well as residents of the council area to desist from dumping refuse indiscriminately, especially when it rains,  in the drainage system.

The admonition was given on Wednesday by the Executive Chairman of the local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, while reacting to the flooding that occurred in some parts of Mafoluku and Shogunle, warning that the government will not spare anyone caught disposing refuse into gutter and drainage across the local government.

Otunba Oloyede equally used the opportunity to appeal to market leaders in the local government to embark on advocacy campaign to persuade their members from clogging the drainages and gutters with heap of refuse, warning that severe punishments await any market man or woman caught in such act across the council area.

Otunba Oloyede also used the opportunity to equally warn Landlords and Landladies to warn their tenants from dropping their dirt inside the canals.

He assured that the government under him will continue to prioritize the well being of the people and will do everything legally possible to ensure the welfare of the people is protected.

In his words, "it's so unfortunate that some parts of our darling local government experienced flooding owing to the torrential rain this morning, this is really disturbing to us as government that was elected to protect you. Environment report indicate that indiscriminate dumping of refuse is responsible for the ugly incident."

"It's on this note that I want to appeal to our Iyalojas and market  leaders to embark on campaign against dumping of refuse in our drainages. Anybody caught will be dealt with in accordance with the law of the land and we shall not spare  anyone. Our fathers and mothers should equally urge their tenants not to dump refuse indiscriminately again. We have a responsibility to protect you, but you also need to help us by obeying the laws of the land and desist from creating environmental hazard with the manner you dump your waste."
