The late music producer who passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 after a long term battle with Kidney disease will be buried at the Ikoyi cemetery, Ikoyi immediately after .
OJB battled with kidney problems since 2013 and was flown to India for a transplant. However, his kidney transplant failed again a week before his demise and OJB passed on.

A Service of Songs and Tribute was held for the late singer yesterday, July 7, 2016 at O’jez event center, National Stadium, Surulere.
The event which was anchored by Okey Bakassi had in attendance some of the entertainment industry's popular faces such as: K- Solo, Essence, Rasqie, DJ Humility, KSB, Okey Bakassi, Sammie Okposo, Lara George, Azadus, Dj Boombastic, Grace Amah, Dj Gosporella, Jazzman Olofin, Daddy Showkey and Ruggedman.
He will be buried at the Ikoyi Cemetery, Ikoyi immediately after service.
He is survived by his father, Chief Anthony Okungbowa(Arase of Agbor); siblings, Mrs.Theresa Ebunola Gamba(USA), Mr. Cornelius Archibong(England), Mr. Albert Okungbowa(USA), Mr. Anthony Okungbowa, Marvin Okungbowa, Bose Ajila Okungbowa, Joseph Okungbowa; wives, Mabel Babatunde Okungbowa, June Okungbowa, Korede Okungbowa and eight children.
