Watch video of Nigerian musician, 9ice say - "I still want my woman to serve me food and kneel down"

Singer 9ice sat down for an interview with veteran TV personality Funmi Iyanda and they got to discuss 9ice's broken marriage specifically and marriages in general.
Iyanda recalled the last time she saw him was at his house when he was still married to his first wife. She said she was sad that his marriage hit the rocks and asked if he was married again as the papers report. This he denied.

When Funmi asked him to clear the air on his status, the Gongo Aso singer launched into an explanation on the problem with modern day marriages.

"I'm single but I'm not searching because it's not part of my priority right now. I've dealt with this topic so many times and people just tend to take the negative side of it but it's like they don't understand what I'm saying because they're not in my shoe."

He continued: "Marriage is not for this generation... I have my reasons(for saying that) because, as a Nigerian, as a Yoruba man, there are some culture and tradition that you're being taught when you're being brought up as a man. You want the same thing from your wife (but) you're not going to get it from today's woman. because then we have exposure. They are the ones that sent us to school. And I still want my woman to serve me food and kneel down. Ejo Aunty, who's going to do that for me now?"

He added: "but you're not going to get that as a man, so we today's men, we need to get that into our thick skull that you're not going to get the same thing your mom is giving to your dad. You are going to get something different because who you're getting married to is quite different from your mom. But we are not ready. That's why you see that this generation are losing marriages, six months and it's dissolved.

He went on to advise people to marry for the right reasons and not out of societal pressures and asked that people are certain beyond all reasonable doubt before going into marriage. He warned couples not to go through with marriages if they become uncertain before walking down the aisle.  Citing his wedding as an example, the father-of- four revealed that he had a moment of doubt before he tied the knot but had to go through with it for fear of what people will say.

"Before you go to the altar, like five to ten minutes, your mind will be telling you that this thing is not going to work," he said and when Iyanda asked if that happened to him, he replied, "It happened to me, but I felt it because I was like 'come on, I have so many things to lose more than what I'm going to gain'. Because if I do that, it's like I'm against the rest of the world."

He advised: "So we should hundred percent get married for what will make you happy. Regardless of the culture, regardless of your parents, get married because you want to get married. Get married because it will make you happy. Don't get married because Tinuke got married."

Anyone Who Finds This Man In Lagos Will Collect N30m

The Nigeria Police Force has placed a N30 million reward on the head of a wanted kidnap kingpin identified simply as Evans.

Lagos Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, told newsmen on Tuesday that a N30m reward awaits anyone who gives information that leads to the arrest of the elusive Evans.
“We are encouraging Nigerians to blow the whistle on this kidnapper. Whoever blows the whistle that will lead to his arrest will get a N30 million reward, as stated by the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris,” the commissioner said.

Operatives of the Lagos state police command had traced the wanted kidnapper to his hideout at Igando area of Lagos last Friday, but he fled before their arrival, abandoning a catchment of arms.

Following the raid on the hideout, the police recovered four AK-47 rifles; two automatic pistols; four magazines loaded with 60 rounds of ammunitions each; 1,272 ammunition, 59 AK-47 ammunition; a police bullet-proof vest; a Toyota Hiace bus, suspected to be the gang’s operational vehicle, and a motorcycle.

CP Owoseni also disclosed that another kidnappers den belonging to the kingpin was uncovered at Ijagemo creeks, Festac Town, with the recovering of some arms and ammunition.

The police boss said like the Igando raid, no arrest was made as the kidnappers, who apparently sighted the operatives from far, fled the creeks in their speed boats.

He said two suspects, who were later arrested, confessed to be members of Evan’s kidnap gang.

“Evans has been on the wanted list of the Police in Anambra, Edo and Lagos states, for four years. The suspects arrested have given us valuable information, which the Command is working on to ensure that he is apprehended by all means.

“The Command is already doing what is necessary in accordance with the laws of Lagos State on kidnapping. That is by taking over the house used by Evans to keep abducted victims or demolish it.”

Nigerian, South African, four others arrested with drugs in India

In a major operation against drug traffickers, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Delhi Zonal Unit, India has arrested six drug carriers including a 38-year-old Nigerian in an operation spanning 4 days.

The NCB has also confiscated narcotics substances worth Rs 12 crore in the international market.
The list of arrested persons include a Bolivian woman, two Indian women and a Nigerian man, all part of a Cocaine smuggling syndicate operating from Bolivia, a South African man carrying 440 grams of Amphetamine and a Bolivian man who swallowed 50 Cocaine pills.

In two cases, the Adis Ababa drug route, was used to smuggle the drugs into Delhi, while in the case involving the South African man, the Amphetamine was on its way to Australia through the Gol Dak Khana post office.

According to the Deputy Director General (DDG) (North Zone), Taj Hassan, the first operation took place on May 12, when the NCB officials intercepted the Bolivian Soleto Justiano Fernando, who had reached Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport via the Ethiopian Airlines.
"We had credible information that Fernando was carrying a consignment of Cocaine with him. When the NCB officials searched his bag we did not find any trace of the drugs. So we made him undergo an X-ray scan at Safdarjung hospital," said Hassan.
After the X-ray examination, it was found that the accused had swallowed 50 pills of Cocaine, weighing 500 grams. He was on his way to Goa to deliver the consignment.

In the second case, on May 15, the NCB officials busted a gang of women drug mules. Acting on inputs, the NCB raiding team arrested a Bolivian woman, Fernando Rengel Grageda (20), who had reached Delhi on the very same day and booked a hotel in Paharganj.
"The team mounted surveillance and found that she was going to hand over the drugs to an Indian woman. Both of them were arrested after the exchange took place. We recovered 3.2 kilograms of Cocaine," Hassan said.
The Indian woman was identified as Lhingpinchong alias Shilpa(28), a resident of Senapati District, Manipur. Shilpa told the NCB officials that she was supposed to hand over the Cocaine to Sanali Khan (41), who was also apprehended along with a Nigerian man, Odonga Chickwuebuka Stephen (38), the owner of the consignment. The investigators had interrogated Fernando, who claimed that she was paid 4,000 US Dollars by a Nigerian contact based in Bolivia, Nagreta.
"Our officers have communicated this development to fellow drug enforcement agencies in Bolivia," said a NCB source.
The last drug operation was undertaken on the very same day, when the NCB officials had arrested a South African man, Franklyn R Zodwa with 440 grams of Amphetamine from Gol Dak Khana post office. He was sending the drug consignment to Australia via post. It was also found that he was involved in a previous drug case in Australia and the concerned authorities have been informed.

BBC Presenter Accidentally Touches Woman's Breast As She Interrupts His Broadcast

This is the bizarre moment a BBC presenter accidentally touches a Jeremy Corbyn supporter's breast as she interrupts his broadcast.

News anchor Ben Brown was speaking to his colleague, assistant political editor Norman Smith, about the launch of the Labour Party election manifesto in Bradford when the men were interrupted by a member of the public.

The woman, who was carrying several bags and wearing a leopard print top and black jacket, stood between the pair and said: 'Absolutely fantastic.'But she was quickly brushed aside by Brown, whose right hand appeared to TOUCH her chest as he tried to move her out of shot.

The yet to be named woman then slapped him on the shoulder before walking off the camera.

Viewers who saw the incident were quick to pass comment on Twitter.

Cameraman Jason Farrington said: 'Bit of a boob by Ben Brown...'

And Stuart Fry said: 'She attempted to interrupt the live coverage. She's miffed!'

Others called for the newsman to be sacked and claimed his conduct was 'disgraceful'.

But some were sympathetic and said the incident must have been an accident.

One Twitter user wrote: 'Poor Ben Brown, it wasn't his fault. Hope he doesn't get in trouble with the 'boob' incident.'

Brown later tried to explain his actions on social media and said he did not mean to touch the woman's breast.

He tweeted: 'Unfortunate interruption of broadcast in Bradford - just tried to minimise disruption but v tricky live on air - completely unintentional.'

Popular Socialite Fred Ajudua Re-Arraigned For Fraud

Lagos socialite Fred Ajudua was re-arraigned at an Ikeja High Court on Tuesday for allegedly defrauding a former Chief of Army Staff, retired Lt.-Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi of $10.3 million.

Ajudua plead not guilty to a 28-count charge bordering on conspiracy to obtain money by false pretence.

The charges were brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Ajudua was arraigned after Justice Josephine Oyefeso had in a ruling dismissed his application dated Jan. 6, challenging the jurisdiction of the court to try him.

“The fact that the defendant’s statement is not in the proof of evidence is not relevant to the issue of the jurisdiction of this court.

“The EFCC can prosecute any financial crime in any court in Nigeria in accordance with Section 211 (1)(b) of the constitution.

“The statement that the defendant has no case is premature and I, therefore, order that the defendant answers to his charges and be arraigned,” Oyefeso ruled.

The lead Prosecutor to the EFCC, Mr S.A. Atteh, said that Ajudua committed the alleged conspiracy and fraud from Nov. 20, 2004 to Dec.18, 2005 alongside five accomplices.

The accomplices were named as Oluronke Rosulu, Alumile Adedeji also known as Ade Bendel, one Kenneth, one Jonathan and Hamabon William.

Ajudua and Rosulu were initially arraigned in 2014 by the EFCC before Justice Kudirat Jose on charges relating to the fraud.

Rosulu, a high court Registrar, who allegedly assisted Ajudua to funnel the funds from the Kirikiri Prisons, however, opted for a separate trial before a different judge.

She was tried and sentenced to 10 years in prison for fraud on December 21, 2015 by Justice Lateef Lawal-Akapo, while the hearing of Ajudua’s case was transferred to Oyefeso’s court, where he was re-arraigned on the charges during Tuesday’s proceedings.

The other accomplices to Ajudua, however, remain at large.

Update! Tonto Dikeh's Nanny reveals some shocking revelations (video)

The recently sacked nanny of her son King, Mgbechi Enyinnaya, has made shocking revelations in an interview with New Telegraph. If you recall, Tonto Dikeh alleged that her short marriage was filled with domestic violence and her now estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill, beat her a number of times and even cheated on her with his personal assistant

Her son's nanny has denied all of the allegations, claiming that Churchill is not a woman beater. She said;

"I never saw two of them fight, talk of Churchill to beat her. For my own eyes as old woman, I never see one day Churchill carry hand. When they argue too much, she herself (Tonto) will raise her hand on Churchill. I never see him beat her, he did not. She herself was even beating Churchill and pushed his mother down."

When asked if she was willing to go back to work for Tonto, who allegedly threw her things out after the hospital bill scandal the nanny replied;

"No. God will keep King (Tonto and Churchill's son), give her the grace to take care of King.

The nanny also alleged that Tonto tried to force her to lie that Churchill used to beat her, but she refused.

"Tonto dey vex because she tell me say make I go lie against her husband, make I go tell the world or record my voice say 'your husband dey beat you', although she know say I never see say her husband beat her. Make I talk, even if say I now do any other thing for am, make I do that one. I no gree. Is that why she dey vex for me? Ahh. Na wa oh. Make she just change."

British Prime Minister, Theresa May reveals her struggle with diabetes

British Prime Minister, Theresa May has opened up about living with type 1 diabetes but vows not to let it hold her back in discharging her duties. She made this revelation during a Facebook live interview with Robert Peston on Monday where she took online questions.
Mrs May told ITV's Robert Peston that fellow diabetes sufferers should not let the illness hold them back. She went on to reveal that she has to constantly track the glucose levels in her blood ever since she was diagnosed in 2012 and she also gets to inject herself with Insulin up to five times a day. During the interview, a fellow diabetic asked about her own experience to which she answered:
"I am a type one diabetic. That means when I eat, I have to inject insulin, which I do. I will be injecting myself four or five times a day… You just get into a routine. You depend on that insulin and you just build that routine into your daily life. The crucial thing to me is being a diabetic doesn’t stop you from doing anything."
Along the line, the interview was hijacked by a question from Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn. He posted a question on Facebook, asking why the PM is refusing to take part on a TV debate with him and Mr Peston read out the question.

"Hello Theresa May, as Prime Minister you’ve served your elite friends by giving them tax cuts when wages have stagnated, house-building is at its lowest since the 1920s, there are 20,000 fewer police on our streets since 2010 and the NHS is in crisis. Do you not think the British people deserve
to see me and you debate live and on television?" Peston read Corbyn's question.
Mrs May again refused to say she would join in the debate , arguing that it was more important for her to talk to voters directly.

She said: "I don’t think people get much out of seeing politicians having a go at each other, I think people want to hear directly."

Mr Corbyn later replied her with a tweet that read: "It’s weak leadership to hide from your own record."

The Labour leader has said he wants to face Mrs May in a head-to-head debate, but she has refused. He said if she doesn’t turn up to Thursday’s debate, neither will he. The first seven-way leaders debate  is due to take place on Thursday and will feature senior spokespeople from the main political parties.

More than 14,000 people tuned in on Facebook to watch the interview yesterday afternoon but it was bombarded with angry face emojis throughout.

Update! Lanre Gentry says - 'Government shouldn't involve themselves in domestic violence cases'

Hours after he was released from Kirikiri prison after fulfilling his bail conditions estranged husband of actress Mercy Aigbe, Lanre Gentry took to his IG page early this morning to call for prison reforms as he shared on his experience while he was in Kirikiri prison awaiting the fulfillment of his bail conditions.

While advocating for prison reforms, Lanre stated that government should not leave what they ought to do, such as prison decongestion, and focus on issues such as domestic violence.

This got some of his followers infuriated, asking him if it is when he had killed his wife that the government should have stepped in. Lanre in response said, everyone has Freedom of speech, as well as he does and doesn't need anyone's advice on what to post.
