Nigerian female medical doctor narrates how she became conscious during surgery due to anesthetic failure and what happened afterwards

A Nigerian female medical doctor has narrated the story of how her anesthesia failed, causing her to wake up during surgery, but because she had also been given muscle relaxants, she couldn't move let alone tell doctors that she was conscious, and as such, she was forced to endure the excruciating pain for over 3 hours as her body was cut open and stitched back.


Dr Lole Gbarale says she still gets tormented by the experience whenever she remembers it. Her story is quite shocking and it's scary to imagine having to live through such.
