Rev. King and others on death row in Lagos prisons to be executed soon

The Lagos State Government will soon execute Chukwuemeka Ezeugo popularly known as Rev. King as well as others on death row in Lagos prisons.

State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Adeniji Kazeem confirmed this to PM News at a ministerial press conference in Lagos today, stating that the state government was reviewing the matter with a view to taking a crucial decision very soon.
The Supreme court had on 27 February 2016 upheld the judgment of the Appeal Court which passed the penalty of death by hanging on Rev. King. Kazeem disclosed that he visited the Lagos state prisons recently and discovered that those on death row were acting as though they had certain rights which excluded them from being executed. He revealed that the prison officials complained about this attitude of theirs and called on the Government to act and remedy the situation.

Kazeem said the previous administration had not deemed it fit to sign documents for the execution of convicts on death row but vowed that the Ambode administration was moving towards necessary document to ensure those on death row are executed.

“Lots of people are on death row, Rev. King is not the only one on death row, it is on the instruction of Ambode that I visited the prisons recently and I discuss the issue with the prison officials and they expressed concern. We are moving in that direction of signing. The prison officials said we need to look at that seriously. Those on death row are beginning to think they have some rights. We are going to move in that direction, you will hear from me, but I will not tell you the exact date,” Kazeem said according to reports from PM News.
On the issue of Major Hamzat Al-Mustapha, the Chief Security Officer of General Sani Abacha accused of killing the late Kudirat Abiola, Kazeem disclosed that the state government had re-opened the case, saying that government was putting machinery in motion to ensure that justice was done on the matter.

Whistleblower Narrates What Transpired In The Lagos Apartment Where EFCC Seized $50m

While Ayodele Oke, the Director-General of the Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA) has claimed that the $43 million, N23.2 million and £27,800 (N13billion)  cash found in an apartment in Lagos last week belongs to his agency, information available to SaharaReporters suggests that the woman seen hauling the money into the apartment in Ghana-Must-Go bags may have been Folashade Oke, his wife.
Our investigation has revealed that the owners of Apartment 7B gave Folashade Oke, with phone number +2348059833410, as their contact.  Sources at the NIA confirmed Folashade to be the spouse of their Director-General, Mr. Oke.
The day after the money was discovered, Mr. Oke had told SaharaReporters he could not verify any information about the money as he had not read any report linking his agency to the cash.
After pledging to speak to us thereafter, he did not take any calls until he suddenly announced that the money belonged to NIA, and that it had been approved by President Goodluck Jonathan for certain “covert” activities.
One of the whistleblowers responsible for the discovery told our correspondent that since he started working on the property as a guard, a woman who spoke fluent Yoruba repeatedly brought huge bags of money to Apartment 7B.  That particular property was known to guards as Apartment “Dash-Dash” because in the records there were two dashes where the name of the owner ought to be.
He recalled that on two occasions, he helped the woman, who was always curiously dressed in a haggardly way, to carry the money to “Dash-Dash”.  The woman, on the first occasion, gave him N10,000 as a gift, and on the second, N500.
He said the woman would spend about two hours in the apartment, then go freshen up in the gym at the back of the building before leaving.
While Mrs. Oke appears to be that person, who was quietly trying to traffic the money to the apartment for some reason, a  quick check on True Caller shows phone number +2348059833410 to be customized as Okemob Niger”.
According to the whistleblower, who is in hiding for fear of his life, there are about 19 fully occupied apartments and 2 penthouses at the 16 Osborne Road, Ikoyi, property.  Estate valuers estimate each of the apartment with four bedrooms and state of the art facilities to cost about N250 million.

Nigerian man pleads guilty to hacking into computers, scamming $6.5M from U.S. companies

A 31-year-old Nigeria man on Monday, April 17, admitted in federal court Monday his participation in a scheme to hack into computers and email accounts, and steal roughly $6.5 million from American companies last year.

Obinna Obioha pleaded guilty to wire fraud and now faces 20 years in prison.

"As part of his guilty plea, Obioha admitted that, while in Nigeria, he worked with others to hack into computers and email accounts used by dozens of victims in the United States and around the world," U.S. Attorney Richard S. Hartunian and Vadim D. Thomas, special agent in charge of the Albany field office of the FBI, announced in a news release.

"After monitoring victims' information to identify imminent commercial transactions, Obioha and his associates created knockoff email addresses that appeared similar to -- but varied slightly from -- victims' legitimate email addresses," the statement said.

"Obioha and his associates then used those bogus email accounts to send fraudulent invoices to victims, instructing them to wire funds to bank accounts controlled by Obioha and his associates, under the pretense that the wires were payments for actual deals that had been previously negotiated by the victims," federal prosecutors said.

Obioha admitted he was involved in at least 50 wire transfers between January 2016 and September 2016. During that time, about $6.5 million went to bank accounts that Obioha and his associates controlled.
"The accounts received money from fraud victims in New York, Florida, Illinois, Ohio, and Texas, among other places," federal prosecutors said in the release.
Obioha was arrested Oct. 6, after he flew from Lagos, Nigeria, to JFK International Airport. He has been in custody since then.
Obioha faces up to 20 years in prison, a maximum $250,000 fine and the possibility of being ordered to pay restitution. U.S. District Judge David N. Hurd is scheduled to sentence Obioha July 26.
"Foreign criminal enterprises prey upon American businesses and are using increasingly sophisticated means to do so, as demonstrated by this scheme," Hartunian said after Obioha pleaded guilty.
"Obioha's apprehension and conviction is a reminder that foreign nationals targeting American businesses cannot operate with impunity and that the reach of U.S. law enforcement agencies is global." he added.

Crying And Screaming Girl Is Stuffed In A Sack & Tortured By Her Grandma

A little girl is stuffed into a sack and tortured by her own grandmother and aunt in a sickening footage. Police have launched an investigation after the shocking footage, which has been viewed more than 10million times, came to light.

No suspects have been identified or arrested, according to police in Lianjiang City, in South China’s Guangdong Province. It is unclear what the young girl did to deserve the inhumane treatment as the video starts with the child already inside the white sack usually used to catch snakes or other reptiles.

It shows the child’s grandmother poking and prodding the outside of the sack, causing the girl to cry, and then also rolling the bag along the ground. Later in the horrific footage, a younger woman - believed to be her aunt - can be seen whipping the child with a stick while her gran films from the sidelines.

The women speak in a dialect consistent with those living in Lianjiang, where the cops said they were taking the case seriously and are now searching for the authors of the video.

The pair could face serious punishment if found guilty of child abuse, including several years in jail.

I always sit close to charging points where I would be able to carry out my act and I move around with different chargers to lend to people who need to charge their phones,"

Lobatan! Emir of Kano speaks on why he suppported his daughter for slapping her male classmate

Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, says people that have been attacking him for holding strong and opposing views on religion and other social subjects, should get ready for his children who are more radical, outspoken and more fearless than he is. Sanusi said this in a recorded video which was played at the Bring Back Our Girls public lecture in Abuja last week Friday.
Sanusi who was represented at the event by his daughter, Shaheeda, also disclosed why he once supported her for slapping a boy in her class in Form 3
. According to the monarch, his daughter abhors any man who does not have respect for women.
“Although I won’t be there in person, I decided to send not my son but my daughter, Shaheeda to represent me. Let me tell you something about the young lady who is going to read my speech. Shaheeda is a graduate of African Leadership Academy in South Africa and a graduate from New York University as Biology major. But long before she went to African Leadership Academy, when she was in Form 3, I remember an incident that is probably relevant for today.
Her mother came to me and said: ‘You need to talk to your daughter’ and I asked her: ‘Why?’ “She said: ‘Your daughter slapped a boy in school’.
It is a bit strange so, I called Shaheeda and said: ‘Shaheeda, I heard that you slapped a boy in school. Why did you do it? Then she said: ‘Dad, that boy has no respect for women’.
So, I asked her exactly what she meant by that. It turned out that one day, during prep in the afternoon, in full class, the boy had come to her, and put his finger to her forehead and pushed it backwards, and he was in the habit of doing it to all the girls in the class. She had said nothing apparently and waited until the next day.
She walked into the prep class late, the whole class was full, and she walked up to him, slapped him, and said: ‘That was for yesterday.
So, long before we started talking about marriage and talking about whether when your husband slaps you, you should slap him back, Shaheeda had decided for herself that she would not take abuse, she would not take insult and she would not be disrespected by any man. As you will see when she presents this paper and maybe if she has the time to speak her own mind, those who are opposed to my views and those who think that I am a problem have a much bigger problem to deal with in the next generation of Sanusis", he said

The Administrator of Ijumu LGA of Kogi State, Toufiq Isah, has accused Senator Dino Melaye of stage managing the attack in order to cause unnecessary tension in the local government.
It will be recalled that the senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district escaped an assassination attempt made on his life by yet to be identified gunmen at his country home in Aiyetoro-Gbede in Ijumu LGA.
His building was riddled with bullets while two vehicles were destroyed. Melaye accused of Isah of being being the attempt on his life.

Addressing newsmen on Monday at his country home in Okoro-Gbede, Isah also called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the presidency to investigate how Melaye allegedly diverted items meant for Internally Displaced People (IDP) last December.
The council boss, who is also chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) in the state, said it was unfortunate that Melaye twisted the story and accused him of planning to kill him.
He said he only heard that the senator entered the Ayetoro with policemen shooting gun sporadically to scare people, wondering why he turned around to claim that he was attack.
He said as chief security officer of the council his responsibility is always to protect the lives and property of the people in the area, noting that if Melaye could not improve on the living standard of the people of Ijumu he should allow them to have peace instead of causing unnecessary distraction. Isah called on the EFCC to probe the IDPs materials he usurped and packed in his house. "I am using this medium to call on the EFCC and the Presidency to investigate how items meant for IDPs in the north eastern parts of the country got to the hand of a Senator who ordinarily supposed to contribute to ameliorate the suffering of the people.
“The items according to information were packed in his house at Ayetoro- Gbede. EFCC should also investigate and unravel staff of NEMA who might aid and abate Dino in that shody deals” he said.
"If you go to some villages within our local government area, there is high dearth of basic social amenities, Governor Bello’s led administration had made it compulsory to all the councils administrators to go down to the hinterland and touch people’s lives positively through the new direction agenda of the government and that is exactly what I am doing in my council area"

Fayose - Looters in Buhari’s govt burying their loots in Presidential Villa

Image result for images of fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose has described as absurd, claims by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed that looters have resorted to burying stolen funds in their backyards, deep forests and burial grounds. Recall that Mohammed released a statement Sunday where he alleged that some looters of public funds have resorted to burying their stolen money in deep forests, cemeteries, backyards and even dumping them at airports.

Reacting to this claim, Fayose in a statement released by his media aide, Lere Olayinka, said some looters in the Buhari led administration have resorted to burying their loots within the villa  “Looters in the Muhammadu Buhari’s Presidency, especially those being compensated for funding the election of the President in 2015 bury their own loots in the Villa with Presidential protection.

Should it be wrong for other supposed looters that do not have presidential protection like their All Progressives Congress (APC) counterparts to bury their loots in burial grounds probably for spiritual protection? Nigerians can no longer be fooled with stage-managed loots recoveries, with no traceable owners (looters), especially when the loots are traceable to close associates of the president and his cabinet members. Obviously, this so-called anti-corruption war has become a laughing stock with N49 million found in Kaduna Airport, N448 million discovered in a shop at Victoria Island, Lagos and N13 billion found in Ikoyi, Lagos neither having owners nor the identities of owners of the properties where the money was found known.

It is either the money belongs to members of Buhari’s government or it is being planted by the government to sustain its fake anti-corruption fight in the minds of the people. Enough of stage-managed and fake anti-corruption war aimed solely at opposition figures, especially presidential hopefuls in the 2019 election.”

He noted that two different laws were now being operated in the country, with one law for the APC and those who decamp to the party and the other for the opposition, especially those perceived as having presidential ambition.
“The narrative they push daily is that only those in their government are saint while other Nigerians, including those in the National Assembly, Judiciary, opposition politicians and the civil servants are rogues while only Buhari’s appointees are saints. To worsen matters, the cluelessness of the APC government in the last two years has plunged the country into debt without anything to show. The cabals in the Presidency are also taking advantage of the President’s state of health, which is as a result of his age to oppress Nigerians. Nigerians must therefore keep their eyes on the ball and not be carried away by the orchestrated distractions aimed at preventing them from seeing how the APC led government has failed woefully.”
Fayose called on the international community to hold Nigeria accountable on the recovered N13 billion cash found in that Ikoyi, Lagos apartment saying; “this must not be swept under the carpet.”
