Peace maker beaten to death while trying to settle dispute between two men

A peace maker identified as Yinka Adewoyin, was reportedly beaten to death, while trying to make peace between two warring parties.

The Nation reports that the incident happened on Thursday, when 31-year-old Adewoyin was on his way back from a beer joint with his friends. It was gathered that he tried making peace between Kazeem aka Down gear, Mopo and an elderly mechanic Mukaila Lasisi, they were assaulting.

Evans hangs himself in jail after killing his pregnant girlfriend and parents

A man in Louisiana, U.S., Jatory Evans, has hanged himself after been accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend and fatally shooting her parent.

The 29-year-old Evans also burned down their house. Reports quoted Jefferson Parish Coroner Dr Gerry Cvitanovich as saying that the 29-year-old Evans hanged himself on Wednesday at the Jefferson Parish Jail.

Oyo govt closes Agodi Zoo

The Oyo State Government has announced the immediate closure of Agodi Zoo.The government said this decision is based on the report received from the company managing the Zoo, AM & C, that one of the lions at the Zoo had accidentally attacked one of the attendants, Mr Hamzat Oyekunle, popularly known as Baba Olorunwa, who later died from injuries sustained from the incident.

Meanwhile, the lions have been evacuated pending further investigations.
