Veteran rapper, Missy Elliott has paid tribute to her late friend and singer Aaliyah whose 39th birthday would have been today, January 16, 2017.
The "Work It" rapper tweeted a lengthy message in memory of Aaliyah with a number of throwback pictures showing the two friends laughing and smiling.
"Aaliyah so many people ?? your Style & Music! I wish they all got a chance to meet you to see how CARING you were to EVERYONE you met! I CAN STILL HEAR YOU LAUGH & me you @Timbaland joking?we MISS YOU so much but I know you are surrounded by ANGELS 4 your BDAY??? WE LOVE U," Missy wrote.
