11 yr old Sierra Leone girl suffering from 'strange' breast condition undergoes surgery...graphic photo

In November, photos of an 11 year old Sierra Leone girl, Mamie Sam, went viral due to the nature of what was best described as a 'strange breast condition'.

Maime, who resides with her grandparents, cried out for help to the government and other humanitarian organizations to come to her aid.
Speaking to a reporter, she explained that some time last year she went on a fishing expedition together with her grand mother and other women in the town. After the exercise she started experiencing her breast becoming large.
"While taking her bath together with the women in the stream, one of them spoke about the increase in her breast, saying it was becoming abnormal and not a good thing for her. During the night, her breast itched and kept increasing as she tried scratching. The following morning, when she went to school, her classmates made fun of her and she stopped going to school ever since then."
Although her parents reportedly sought medical attention and consulted several herbalists within their community, there was no improvement.

However, a team of specialized doctors from Netherlands have now carried out the surgery needed to reduce her breasts,  See the graphic photos from during the surgery, below...

How fraudsters hack email and defraud man of N4million ...photo

Three suspected Internet fraudsters have been arrested by the Lagos Police Command for allegedly defrauding an estate agent of about N4m.

The suspects – Olisa Oyegbuka, 28; Ifeannacho Kingsley, 27; and Ujumwa Aniemena, 33 – were said to have hacked into the email of an unnamed client of the estate agent.

They allegedly sent a message from the email to the agent, demanding the transfer of funds kept for the client by the estate agent into some accounts.

The fraud was later discovered after the owner of the account received alerts and subsequently called the agent to demand explanation for the flight of funds from his account.

The case was reported to operatives of the RRS which launched a manhunt for the suspects.

According to Punch, the three suspects were arrested in Awka, Anambra State.

It was learnt that the suspects were part of a syndicate that specialised in hacking into email addresses and using them to send messages seeking transfer of funds in tranches to different accounts.

The estate agent, who did not want to be identified, said, “The owner of the email is my client. I received an email giving instruction to transfer funds in my custody to an account belonging to one Emmanuel Ajinubi.

“I transferred N800,000 to the account on October 24, 2016. On October 27, 2016, there was another instruction to transfer N530,000 to the same account, which I did.

“On November 1, 2016, I transferred N720,000 to another account belonging to one Ifenancho Kingsley.

“I received further instruction the following day to pay N850,000 to the same account. The total amount transferred to the two accounts was N3,820,000.

“On November 2, 2016, my client called me and that was when we realised that the payment instructions did not emanate from him; rather, they were from fraudsters.”

One of the suspects, Kingsley, admitted that two separate transactions of N720,000 and N850,000 were paid to his account.

He, however, said a family friend, Chinedu Emmanuel, had requested his account details and took his Automated Teller Machine card and Personal Identification Number to withdraw the money.

“The first alert of N720, 000 that I got on my phone was withdrawn from my account within a twinkling of an eye.

“The following day, I got another alert of N850,000. And almost instantly, there were lots of POS transactions bearing ‘Grand POS’ Asaba. Since then, I have not seen him and I don’t know the kind of job he does. As I talk to you, my ATM card is still with him,” he added.

Another suspect, Oyegbuka, said his friend, Egbuka, who was arrested by RRS a few weeks earlier, used his (Oyegbuka) account to transfer N800,000 to another account belonging to one Tamino.

RRS investigators said efforts were on to arrest fleeing members of the gang.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, warned criminals using other states as a base to perpetrate crime in Lagos that the command would get them from their hideouts.

“The three suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigations.”

Olugbo’s Outburst, Royal Rascality, Says Ooni of Ife

Image result for images of ooni of ife
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has  described the comment of the Olugbo of Ugbo, Oba Obateru Akinruntan, that Moremi Ajasoro was a traitor and should not be celebrated as a heroine as a royal rascality that deserves no response.

Oba Ogunwusi  said this on Sunday in a statement issued on his behalf by the  Director of Public Affairs. Ooni’s Palace, Mr. Moses Olafare, in reaction to the statement issued on behalf of the Olugbo by the Olugbo-in-Council.

The monarch said it was absurd for anyone to describe Moremi, who according to him, used her power to liberate her people from the incessant  invasion of some faceless terrorist, as a traitor.

The statement read, “The attention of Ile-Oodua  has been drawn to a statement credited to Oba Frederick Akinruntan through the Olugbo-in-Council berating the people of Ile-Ife  for celebrating Moremi Ajasoro as a heroine and goddess of liberty.

“This outburst of Olugbo can only be viewed by the well meaning people as a mere royal rascality and a pitiable act of absurdity that doesn’t deserve serious attention by serious minded people.

“How on earth should a Yoruba king refer to Moremi as a traitor just because she used her power of a woman to liberate her people from incessant invasions by some faceless terrorists?

Obasanjo condemns supremacy tussle among Yoruba Obas

Yoruba obas’ needless supremacy war

“While we remain very proud of the great queen Moremi Ajasoro, a brave woman who sacrificed her only son Oluorogbo for the victory of her people over the faceless terrorists who used to incessantly raid Ife markets, we will not dignify this rascality of royalty with an expected response as we are not ready for any useless supremacy battle incapable of taking Yoruba to a greater height.”

The Ooni urged Yoruba people and all lovers of peace to ignore the “reckless statement” capable of dividing the people further especially at the moment he (Oba Ogunwusi ) was working to unite the entire  Yoruba race and the monarchs.

He said he was not in any supremacy battle with anyone and was not interested in engaging in such a worthless battle because he had been busy mending fences and working to bring all Yoruba people together since about a year ago he ascended the throne of his forefathers.

“It is a pity that at this time when everybody is lucidly tired of retrogressive royal discord generally agreed to have colossally hindered our pace of progress as a people of common heritage politically and socio-economically, the Olugbo who claims to be the chairman of Yoruba Obas Committee on Peace and Reconciliation has suddenly without a deep knowledge of Yoruba history woken up to see royal controversy as the only tool for cheap publicity.

“Kabiyesi Ooni is not interested in taking  issues with Oba Akinruntan or anyone on any matter that can jeopardise his peace and unity project which is already making impact in so many sectors,” he added.

Trump attacks China in Twitter outburst

Image result for images of trump
US President-elect Donald Trump has posted a series of tweets criticising China for its monetary policy and its operations in the South China Sea.

"Did China ask us if it was OK to devalue their currency" and "build a massive military complex?" he asked. "I don't think so!"

Last week Mr Trump risked a diplomatic rift with China by speaking directly with Taiwan's president.  The highly unusual move saw China lodge a complaint with the US.

The US has previously criticised China's yuan devaluation, saying it unfairly favours Chinese exporters.

It has also told Beijing to stop reclaiming land around islands and reefs which are claimed by multiple countries in the South China Sea, and has sent US Navy ships to the area. Both sides have accused each other of "militarising" the region. China has said its land reclamation efforts are for civilian purposes.

The US currently imposes tariffs on some Chinese imports, such as steel and tyres. Mr Trump has previously threatened to impose a 45% tariff on Chinese goods, but we are not sure if he will still carry that out.

Presidency replies Emir of Kano after he berated the Federal government for seeking $30bn loan

Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, on Friday berated the President Buhari-led government for seeking to borrow $30 billion from International financial institutions. At a policy dialogue forum organised by Savannah Centre for Diplomacy, Democracy and Development in Abuja, the Emir stated that nobody in the International community will borrow Nigeria such an amount of money.

According to him, the poor state of our economy will not make any lender take Nigeria serious, adding that even if the National Assembly eventually grants the request for Nigeria to borrow such a loan, no global financial institution will offer such a loan to Nigeria.
“I can tell you for free, if the Senate today approves that we can borrow $30 billion, honestly, no one will lend us. It should be approved and I will like to see how you will go to the international market with an economy that has five exchange rates. There is one rate for petroleum marketers, there is Interbank rate, there is another for money market operators such as western union, money gram, there is bureau de change rate and there is a special rate you get when you call the CBN for a transaction. So who will borrow you when they don’t know your exact reserve and exchange rate? I want to see who will borrow you money when the Niger Delta bombing of oil is there ‎when the main source of the loan repayment is oil”he said
However in a swift reaction to the Emir of Kano's comment, Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba, in a statement released today, said the monarch does not have his facts right regarding the state of the economy. Garba's statement below
"With every respect to the Emir, you know he is my ruler, because I come from Kano. He doesn't have his facts as far as those issues are concerned. The issue in CBN, that government has overdrawn its Central Consolidated Account is true, but the overdrawing is within limits. The overdraw does not exceed 1.5 trillion. It is incorrect to say, as he did that the account was overdrawn by 4.5 trillion. But even assuming that he was correct. This is a government that has money in excess the amount he mentioned in the Treasury Single Account, TSA. It is just like you, a bank customer operating two accounts, one in the red and the other, well funded to the point that it can at any time wipe the indebtedness on the other. Would any bank manager lose their sleep over this? This, I am told is what the IMF found at the CBN and they said it is perfectly normal. As for his opposition to the USD 30 billion loan, I'm aware that the Minister of Finance is responding to that. As a private citizen, I want to read his statement again. I thought that the borrowing is for projects that include the railway development in Kano, his own city".

FG gives FRSC officials authority to carry arms while on duty

The Federal Government has granted officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC, the authority to carry arms while on duty. Corps Marshal and Chief Executive of FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi, disclosed this while speaking at the end of the year management strategy session for the parastatal in Abuja this weekend.

According to Oyeyemi, the need for the officers to bear arms arose from the increased number of violent attacks and killing of some of its operatives while on duty. According to Oyeyemi,  over 70 of its personnel have been killed in 2016 alone as a result of violent attacks by angry motorists. Oyeyemi said the FRSC Establishment Act gives power to the corps to bear arms and that the Federal Government had earlier approved that, with about 5,000 personnel already undergoing training on firearms.

“The Act gives power to the Corps to bear arms and 5,000 of our personnel have been trained. We are just waiting for the validation of the earlier approval. Sadly, within the one year, we have lost 70 personnel. It is sad to note that some killing and maiming of operatives, including one from a sister agency in close collaboration with the Corps were in the course of official duties. A recent occurrence was the happening in Talata Mafara, Zamfara State where a motorist ran into the Mobile Court in session, killing three operatives almost instantly while a Civil Defence operative died later as a result of injuries sustained in the dastardly act"he said
