Gov. Fayose storms Zenith Bank, withdraws N5million...photo

Read the press statement below...
Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose on Thursday stormed the Ado-Ekiti branch of the Zenith Bank to make withdrawal from his hitherto frozen account following a Federal High Court order asking the bank to de-freeze the governor’s account. Governor Fayose who made a withdrawal of N5 million in cash thanked Nigerians for standing with him and against the recklessness of the EFCC.
A Federal High Court in Ado Ekiti had on Tuesday, ordered that Governor Fayose's accounts in Zenith Bank be defrozen with immediate effect. The accounts were frozen by the EFCC in June, this year. The judge said the EFCC action breac.hed the governor's fundamental rights to fair hearing, as the commission did not make him a party to the proceedings for the interim freezing of the account.
He said that the EFCC suppressed facts by not disclosing to the court that granted the interim freezing order that the two accounts that were frozen belonged to Governor who enjoys total constitutional immunity. Details later.

Tragic! Man drowns daughter, kills dogs and hangs self to punish his wife ...photo

Darren Flux Edmonds, 44, drowned his 6-year old daughter, Keziah, in their bathtub, then placed her body beside those of the family dogs, Arnie and Maximux, before taking his own life. He did this to punish his wife for leaving him.
This incident occurred in East Cowes, Isle of Wight, England while Edmonds’ wife Nikki Flux-Edmonds was at work. Prior to the heinous crime, Darren sent his wife, Nikki Flux-Edmonds, a message, part of which read; ‘You have left me with nothing, I’ll leave you with only memories.

Mrs Flux-Edmonds had been on her way to see a client when she got the message. She immediately called the police and made her way home only to find Darren hanging from the rafters of the loft. Her daughter was found in the master bedroom with her arms wrapped around her dogs. She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

It was gathered that Darren who was separated from his wife of twelve years was seeing a therapist as regards his mental health and had revealed how he had dreams about murdering his wife and daughter. He followed through on that dream when he was left alone to look after Keziah. Nikki said she noticed something different about him as she left him with their daughter but thought nothing of it.

The devastated mother while mourning her daughter said;
“She was my world. Darren has killed my baby and my boys (the dogs). He was petrified I was going to go with someone else and did that to punish me. My world is over. I have nothing left, my whole life was Keziah. She was my only chance of having a child. I did everything to make her happy and I have nothing left.”

Omg! Photo of Baby with two heads born in Lagos

A woman on Tuesday, December 13th, gave birth to two-headed baby at Med-In Specialist Hospital located at Oshogbo Street in Ogudu,Lagos. According to doctors at the hospital, the baby born around 6:30pm through an elective caesarean section, has two heads, a neck, chest, two legs and two hands. The mother and medics were expecting a set of twins as indicated by the various scans she underwent in the course of the pregnancy.

According to one of the nurses who was in the delivery room, they had prepared two cots for each of the twins but were shocked when they saw that they were conjoined. "This is the first time I am seeing anything like this. I have watched it in movies but seeing it in real life was such an experience for me. Thankfully, the surgeon ensured that they survived.

"As I speak to you, the mother doesn’t know the condition of the babies. She still believes and expects to carry her twins. We haven’t told her yet. Only her husband was brought into the theatre to see his children and he was the one who went with the doctors to LUTH,"  said the nurse.
In medical parlance, the condition is known as Parapagus. It is a rare form of partial twinning where there are two heads and two necks side by side on one torso. Such cases are rampant in India and doctors say they cannot be separated since they have only one pair of arms and one pair of legs and one heart.
This disorder is different from conjoined twins as the baby has only one set of internal organs. The extremely rare case is thought to be brought on during the early stages of pregnancy as a result of genetic mutation. Med-In Hospital Manager Dare Moses said the baby was taken to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) so that tests can be conducted to ascertain if they share also vital organs like hearts and lungs.

"There is need to find out if they share major organs together. They may have to be flown abroad for separation if they have separate hearts and other vital organs. It is possible for them to survive. I have seen cases of twins like this in movie surviving and living normal lives. Normally, when we have cases of pregnant woman expecting twins, we usually go for elective caesarean, which was what the mother opted for. But when the doctor was trying to extract one of the babies (first one), it got stuck and when he examined further, he discovered that there were two heads in one body. We are happy that the baby was delivered alive and placed on oxygen. Both heads were alive.

"It was really amazing. I am proud and thankful that we delivered the baby alive. Yes, several scans were done by the mother in the course of pregnancy at different places, but none discovered any abnormality. We are thankful that the operation was successful."
According to a doctor, who refused to be named, the babies were meant to come as identical twins and must have shared the same sac and placenta.

"Nobody can specifically say the reason for the condition. At different stages during pregnancies. Twins divide but these ones didn’t divide fully. We can’t really say if they have only two pairs of legs and hands, there’s a possibility the other pairs are inside. But we don’t know yet. There are so many things we can’t really determine physically. That’s why several scans would be conducted, including CT Scans, to know their exact condition and the best option. It is a situation that would be best managed abroad because it requires the putting together of a team of paediatric surgeons who must have the best facilities, which we do not have presently on Nigeria. We have good doctors but the materials are not there. Specialists in different fields would be working on them at the same time if they are to be separated.  Chances of their survival in Nigeria are very poor giving the realities of our society.

"If they can’t be separated and are left to survive, people might ridicule them or see them as curses, which isn’t good. But in other climes, some conjoined twins have survived to adulthood and they are doing fine. You should also know that it would be very expensive to foot the bills, and it isn’t what any parent can handle alone. The government and good spirited individuals would have to assist them so that the kids stay alive. All we want is to give them as much chances as they can possibly get to survive.

"Our medical system in Nigeria is in poor shape. Even at the teaching hospitals, chances are that they may not even have those necessary equipment to support survival of children like this. There is need for a multi-specialist team, drawn from various teaching hospitals, to handle cases like this and they should be provided the right equipment."

The Ministry of Health has been notified of the development. The hospital disclosed plans to inform the baby’s mother.

Governor Wike caught on tape bribing INEC officials and threatens to kill any who fails him ...

The report from SR and Audio evidence below:

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has been caught on tape as he held a telephone conversation with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), arranging payment to the officials in exchange for their help in rigging the recently concluded legislative elections in the state.

The telephone conversations, exclusively obtained by Sahara Reporters, revealed the governor arranging with INEC officials, particularly those sent from Plateau State, to rig the election for candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Etche, Khana, Ikwerre and other key local government areas in the state.

One of Mr. Wike’s phone calls went to a female INEC official who was complaining that the money offered by the governor was not sufficient for the rigging task. An infuriated Governor Wike told the woman that he had already paid the electoral coordinator in Plateau State.

At one point in the conversation, when Governor Wike was told that one of the electoral officers was reluctant to sign one of the result sheets, the governor threatened to demand his money back from the recalcitrant official. Then, as if not satisfied with his threat to collect back his money, Mr. Wike voiced his intent to kill the official, stating that the man would not leave Rivers State alive.

The chilling telephone conversation has exposed the inner workings of Mr. Wike’s scheme to rig the recent election in his state and also the collusion of INEC officials in the illicit deals. Besides, the governor’s intimation of violence also pointed to the possible bloody nature of the games played between politicians who fund the rigging of elections and the electoral officials who facilitate the scheme for quick, and often substantial, cash payments.

Sahara Reporters spoke to a top INEC official in Abuja and he confirmed that most of the electoral officers who conducted the recently concluded legislative elections in Rivers State were drafted from Plateau and Oyo States. He added that some of the electoral officials were also drafted from one of the South Eastern states.

A Federal High Court in Abuja was unable to proceed with trial of Femi Fani- Kayode, spokesman of the Goodluck Jonathan campaign as scheduled on Wednesday because of his ill health.

The EFCC had on November 11, 2016, arraigned Fani-Kayode on another five charges involving alleged diversion of N26m which he allegedly received from the then National Security Adviser, Sambo Dsuki, under the guise of payment for a contract.

The ex-minister allegedly received the money from the Office of the NSA while he was the Director of Media and Publicity in the campaign organisation of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.

Fani-Kayode allegedly received the money when he “reasonably ought to have known that the said fund formed part of the proceeds of an unlawful activity of Dasuki and the then Director of Finance and Administration of the ONSA, Shuaibu Salisu”.

EFCC also accused Fani-Kayode of transacting with the said N26m without going through financial institution as required under the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act.

Justice John Tsoho had fixed Wednesday for commencement of trial, but the proceedings were stalled because of Fani-Kayode’s absence from court.

His lawyer, Mr. Wale Balogun, who apologised to the judge for his absence, said Fani-Kayode had wished to be present in court but that his doctor advised him against the idea.

The lawyer, who did not mention the nature of Fani-Kayode’s sickness, showed the judge letter from an undisclosed hospital where he is said to be receiving treatment.

Justice Tsoho has thus adjourned the case to February 6, 2017.

Fani-Kayode was already standing trial along with others in the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court with respect to Billions from the office of the NSA under Dasuki.

Within the months of October and November 2016, the Federal Operations Unit Zone A of the Nigeria Customs Service has recovered six hundred and eleven million, six hundred and seventy six thousand, nine hundred and thirty eight naira (N611, 676, 938).

This amount was regained from economic saboteurs that attempted false declaration, transfer of value and short change of duty payment. Parboiled rice (13,678 bags), Frozen poultry products (12,007 cartons) and vegetable oil (668 jerry cans) were the top items on the seizure list and over 200 other items comprising of vehicles, and various merchandise.

Speaking at a press briefing in Ikeja, the Controller of the Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, Comptroller Haruna Mamudu said since he assumed office in October 2016, he had reviewed and reflected operational modalities towards sustaining the statutory mandate of anti-smuggling operations so as to keep the flag flying.
The Comptroller revealed that intensified operations at various bonded terminals and warehouses to ensure compliance to extant laws have yielded results as 6 (six) warehouses in Lagos have been sealed since he assumed office.

Also, 77 suspects arrested in connection to the various contraventions have already been charged to court for prosecutions while 4 of the suspects have been convicted of the crimes.
He advised economic saboteurs to desist from carrying out illegitimate businesses or attempt nefarious acts this yuletide season saying that Customs tactical strategies of blocking revenue leakages and anti-smuggling activities will make them count their lose.

Five suspects arrested by police and recovers INEC materials, arms and ammunition ...photo

Police on Wednesday, paraded five suspects who attempted to scuttle the 10th December, 2016 Rivers State parliamentary re-run elections. Sensitive INEC material, arms and ammunition were recovered from them. According to a press release signed by Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Don Awunah, the suspects were responsible for several armed attacks that took place during the elections, in particular Omoku where a police officer was gruesomely killed. Full statement below:
"It is a statement of fact that the recently concluded Rivers State parliamentary election held on 10th December 2016 from security perspectives was a huge success. Arguably, the conduct of the election in terms of police performance was acknowledged by major stakeholders as distinctively professional and a well-organized election when compared with previous elections in the state which major hallmarks were violence, disruption of electoral process, wanton destruction of lives and property.
2. The pre-election predictions of plausible and imminent violence was forestalled by the massive deployment of security personnel and logistics, creative engagement of stakeholders, robust interagency collaboration and effective discharge of election duties, coupled with transparency and accountability displayed by the security agents.
3. The attempt by some major political gladiators in the state to foist violence and trigger an atmosphere of insecurity failed woefully. These political gladiators and major stakeholders clandestinely promoted violence and exhibited abuse of power and office.
4. In the course of the re-run election, some suspects who attempted to scuttle the electoral process were arrested and sensitive INEC materials were recovered from them, arms and ammunition inclusive.
Those arrested are as follows:
a. Noble Nwaerema ‘m’
b. Dike Deinpiribo ‘m’
c. Valentine Alalibo ‘m’
d. Onwunari J. Warmate ‘m’
e. Iloke Stephen ‘m’
Exhibits recovered from the suspects include:
a. A green INEC branded bag
b. Eight (8) booklets of ballot papers meant for Emohua LGA
c. One (1) booklet of INEC Accreditation Incident Report Forms
d. One (1) booklet of statement of results
e. One (1) blood stained APC agent ID card
Arms and ammunition recovered from the suspects include:
a. One (1) AK47 rifle
b. One (1) assault rifle
c. Six (6) magazines
d. 112 rounds of live ammunition

a. Noble Nwaerema ‘m’ 33 years on the 10th of December, 2016 was arrested by SARS operatives along RumusiElele. He claimed he was hired by the youth president of Itu-Ikwere community together with eight (8) others imported from aneighbouring state. They invaded Emouha Local Government and carted away electoral materials meant for polling units within the area. He was arrested with some of the exhibits while others are at large. Intelligence report confirmed the electoral materials were taken to a government facility and escorted by armed personnel.
b. Dike Deinpiribo, Valentine Aldibo, Onwuarari J. Warmate and Iloke Stephen belong to a group of cultist and professional political thugs. They claimed their services were engaged by one Hon. BomaGoodHead who procured two AK47 rifles and commissioned his driver, one Iryo to convey the weapons in his black Toyota Prado jeep and handed same to the suspects at Degema.
5. The suspects were responsible for several armed attacks that took place during the elections in places like Abonnema, Emuoha, Elele, Eteche and Omoku, where a police officer was gruesomely killed. The rifles and 112 rounds of ammunition were recovered from them. Other members of the killer gang fled and detectives are on their trail.
6. At this juncture, it is instructive to maintain that some security personnel were arrested for professional misconduct, actions, inactions, omission and commission that were detrimental to the electoral process of the 10th December, 2016 Rivers State parliamentary re-run elections. Some of them directly or indirectly connived with some politicians to scuttle the process. A high powered investigative panel is currently looking into this unacceptable professional misconduct.
The IGP is irrevocably committed to ensuring that democratic ethos especially the master plan of credible election security becomes the acceptable norm in the country. The police will decisively deal with anybody irrespective of status or political affiliation who individually or collectively subverts the electoral process in Nigeria in accordance with the law."

Omg! See man who got sentenced to 11 years in jail for setting his beauty queen girlfriend on fire

An Ohio man, Michael Slager, 41, who was arrested in 2015 for pouring gasoline on his then-girlfriend and lighting her on fire was sentenced Monday to 11 years in prison after being convicted of aggravated arson, possession of criminal tools and assault.

Slager pleaded no contest to all three criminal counts right before his sentencing, according to a statement from Ron O’Brien, the prosecutor for Ohio’s Franklin County.

O’Brien said in his statement that Slager received the maximum sentence for his crimes.

On Aug. 2, 2015, police responded to a gas station incident in Gahanna, Ohio, after dispatchers received reports from several witnesses that a woman had been set ablaze and engulfed in flames.

Authorities say the victim, Slager’s girlfriend,33 year old Judith Malinowski was rushed to Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center in critical condition.

A majority of her body bears scarring and she has undergone innumerable surgeries to keep her alive, O’Brien said. The attack left 90 percent of her body covered in third- or fourth-degree burns, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
“Would she want to be like this? Would she want to go on?” Malinowski’s mother asked herself. “She would.” “She’d want to stay to help someone — anyone,”. “Do you want to know why she was Miss New Albany? Because she was the sweetest kid there was. She had the nicest personality.”
Slager was also treated for burns he’d sustained in the altercation, authorities said.

Police said when Slager was interviewed, he initially claimed that the incident was a “horrible accident,” but investigators learned from witnesses that the couple had been arguing just before Malinowski was set on fire.
One witness at the scene told police that at one point, Slager used a fire extinguisher to extinguish the flames on Malinowski.

Malinowski still remains in the hospital’s care and her condition remains unchanged till this day.

Update! Man who kidnapped 12-year-old girl in SA and turned her into his sex slave identified as Nigerian national

The man accused of abducting and raping a 12-year-old girl for three months in Pretoria, South Africa has been identified as a Nigerian national. The 37-year-old man, who cannot be named until he pleads to charges of kidnapping, rape and contravening sections 4, 7 and 5 of the Prevention and Combating of Trafficking in Persons Act, was met with insults and slurs from women’s organisations when he entered the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, December 13th, for his bail application.

He walked into the noisy courtroom to find out that his legal representative withdrew as he had not been paid. The women hurled insults at him as he was called to the dock, causing the magistrate to warn them that he would clear the public gallery if they could not behave themselves.

"He must rot in jail," a woman screamed as he was led back to the holding cells.

The woman was among a group of women (pictured) who attended the bail application of the accused for a second appearance and bail application.

The suspect was arrested two weeks ago for abducting the girl and keeping her in his Sunnyside flat for two months. Police said the man repeatedly raped her before her escape. It is also alleged that he was trying to groom her for prostitution.

During his first court appearance last week, the man applied for bail, which was postponed for further investigation. On Tuesday his attorney withdrew from representing him, and he applied for legal aid. This caused another postponement in the case, to allow the Legal Aid lawyer to take over the matter.
The girl, who is in Grade 7, was reported missing by her family in early September. When she was found on December 1, she said she had left her Mamelodi home to meet friends at a nearby park outside Silverton. She had encountered an unknown girl along the way, who then led her to the Sunnyside flats where the accused lives.

It is alleged that when the girl woke up the following morning she found the accused sitting on the bed and the unknown girl had disappeared. She said she was unable to escape until an afternoon two weeks ago, after which she led the police to the flat.
ANC Women's League Tshwane regional secretary Gogo Ndlovana was one of the women who attended the proceedings on Tuesday in support of the girl. She indicated that the organisation would make an application to become friends of the court. They will attend the proceedings until the matter is finalised.
"As the Women's League we have met the family, and in our discussions we agreed that the child should remain in a place of safety. We will send social workers to assess the child," Ndlovana said.
The girl's uncle refused to speak to the media, but indicated he would be available at the next court appearance.
Ndlovana indicated that due to the girl having missed her exams, they were trying to negotiate with the school and the Education Department to assess her on the work she had done through the year.
However, they were experiencing difficulties as the academic year had come to an end. She also said they wanted to apply for permission to march to the block of flats where the accused is said to live.
"We are not xenophobic, but we want to raise the matter that at the very same flat where this guy is living, there are things happening there. It is our responsibility as women to hold the march to sensitise the government with regard to the security around that particular area," Ndlovana said.
The case was postponed to December 19 for a formal bail application.

Shocking! Muslim girl who claimed she was attacked by Trump supporters in New York has been arrested for making up the story ...photo

A Muslim teenager, Yasmin Seweid, 18, who claimed she was called a terrorist and had her hijab pulled off by Donald Trump supporters on a New York subway train, has been arrested after she confessed that she lied about the whole story.

Seweid, who is a student at New York's Baruch College, was arrested by police on Wednesday for filing a false report and admitting she lied about the so-called attack.
Seweid initially told police she was harassed by three drunk white men when she got on a train at the 23rd Street station in Manhattan on December 1. She claimed the men taunted her, and told her 'you don't belong here' and referred to her hijab as a 'rag.' In the Polie report she filed, she claimed that one of the men grabbed her bag, and broke the strap in the process while another tried to take off her hijab before she fled the train at Grand Central Station to try and flag down police.
After the 'incident' she went on her Facebook page and about the 'traumatizing' ordeal which quickly went viral.
She wrote:
'No matter how 'cultured' or 'Americanized' I am, these people don't see me as an American.' 'It breaks my heart that so many individuals chose to be bystanders while watching me get harassed verbally and physically by these disgusting pigs.'
Police originally investigated the case as an anti-Muslim bias incident and spent significant resources trying to track down those responsible.

There was an outrage on social media because of what she said happened to her. Then shortly after the 'incident', she went missing and people thought her disappearance had something to do with the racist incident that she claimed happened to her.
Fortunately by Dec. 10th, she had been declared found.
Police looked at surveillance footage but could not find evidence to corroborate Seweid's story.

On Tuesday, Seweid finally admitted to police that she had fabricated the story, saying she wanted to get attention because she was having family issues at home.

She was charged with filing a false report and obstructing governmental administration.
