Lobatan! This man leaves his wife to marry his mother in law and elopes with her... photos

A man in India who fell in love with his mother-in-law and ended up marrying her has now realised the folly of his ways and filed for divorce.

Suraj Mahto, 22, hit the headlines in June when he abandoned his wife Lalita and married her mother, 42-year-old Asha Devi.

The unusual affair began when Mrs Devi came to stay with the couple in the village of Puraini in the impoverished state of Bihar last year. She looked after Mr Mahto when he became ill and they fell in forbidden love.

When she returned home he would ring her and they would talk for hours on the phone and would also visit her at her home.

Lalita found out about the affair and told her mother to stay away but she refused.

Lalita's cuckolded father, who worked in a factory in Delhi, was also unable to stop the passionate affair. Eventually, despite the objections of villagers, the couple eloped and married on June 1 this year in nearby Dhamdaha.

Two months on the couple have both realised they have made a crazy mistake.

The Gulf News reported that Mr Mahto said: 'I have come to realise my folly now. I admit I have committed the mistake but will never repeat in future.

'Now, I no longer treat her as my wife. Rather, I have started paying her regard as a mother.'

He said he would go on bended knee and beg Lalita to have him back. The couple have a son together. Mrs Devi is also seeking to undo her actions.

She said of Mr Mahto: 'No longer do I treat him as my husband but as a son-in-law. We have already  filed a divorce petition in the court and I want to return to my husband as soon as possible.'

Meet this couple who has kept this Gorilla for 18yrs as their only child...photo

When Pierre and Eliane Thivillon adopted Digit the gorilla, she weighed just four pounds and six ounces. But you would struggle to get her on to the scales now, with the huge primate eclipsing her two owners.

Despite her size, Digit is still a softie and remarkably has lived with the couple nearly all of her life.

While she has learned to become more independent, the gorilla still occasionally relies on her adoptive human parents to help pick food out of her teeth or pull a splinter out of her hand, Mr Thivillion says.

And until she was a teenager by which time she weighed nearly 13 stone Digit would try to share the bed with her owners, who live in hills west of Lyon, France.

The Thivillions, who do not have children, took Digit in to their home after she was abandoned as a baby.

They bottle-fed, raised and even house-trained Digit, who lives in his own spacious enclosure connected to the home.

Mr Thivillion was unable to ever go for an evening out during the gorilla's childhood as she cannot be left with anyone else. Not because she is particularly dangerous, but because she gets upset when they leave.

We cannot leave Digit overnight with anyone else, which means we haven’t be able to go out for 13 years,’ he said back in 2013.

We haven’t had a holiday, or a night away. We haven’t been to the cinema, the theatre, or out for dinner. It would make Digit sad if we weren’t here, and if she is sad we are, too.’

The Thivillions run a private zoo near their home, which acts as a sanctuary for animals rescued from poorly-run zoos and circuses, but Digit is special.

Tragic! This Coach shoots dead Athlete, kills colleague, then turns the gun on himself... photos

A high school wrestling coach murdered a 14-year-old student, and shot dead a colleague before turning the gun on himself, police believe.

Kenneth E. Valdez, 44, and Jason E. Huston, 45, both coaches at Hermiston High School were found dead in the suspected murder suicide at Valdez's home in Hermiston, Oregon on Thursday.

A 35-year-old woman was also discovered with gunshot injuries and was rushed to hospital. Police believe that Huston shot Valdez and the unnamed woman multiple times before he turned the gun on himself.

Student James 'JJ' Hurtado, who was reported missing on Thursday morning, was found dead in a remote area outside of the town later that same day, East Oregonian reports.

Police say he was last seen at 10am with the assistant wrestling coach Huston had picked him up yesterday to play disc golf at McNary Park.

Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston said the department is not searching for other suspects.

Police have not yet released any information about the motive for the murders but say all the victims were familiar to each other.

Shortly after responding to the crime scene at Northwest 11th Street and West Madrona Avenue, police obtained search warrants for Huston's home and car.

'At some point we may be able to release additional details on what transpired today, but with our already limited resources stretched at three separate locations, our primary focus at this time is finding JJ,' Edmiston said in the release.

Huston, 45, was previously arrested for menacing and unlawful possession of a firearm in 2009. He was sentenced to a year on probation and 20 hours of community service.

Lobatan! Aba prison has these 80 insane people in jail...

The Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Prisons Service, Abia Command, Deputy Superintendent of Prisons (DSP) Kalu Ikpe, says the Aba Federal Prison has about 80 insane persons in its asylum.

Mr. Ikpe disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Aba.

He said the prison was taking care of the insane persons to ensure that they were stabilised enough to enable them answer their respective charges in court.

“Those who are not normal are put under observation and are made to see psychiatric doctors who work daily to ensure that their drugs are administered.

“You know that the prison inmates are our brothers, so we cannot abandon them,” he said.

Mr. Ikpe, however, stated that getting the insane inmates out of the prison, where necessary, was the duty of the Chief Judge and the courts which committed them to prisons.

He said that the prison had no means of discovering if a potential inmate was sane or not at the point of receiving him, but would keep custody of anyone with valid arrest warrants.

“Sometimes even here in Umuahia where there is no asylum, we receive them but when after sometimes we observe a strange behaviour, we do a referral and send them to Aba where there is an asylum.

“In a situation where the individual’s case becomes worse or unmanageable by us, we alert the courts who committed them to our care.

“Depending on the nature of the alleged crime committed by the inmates, they are the people that can take decisions on their matters,” he said.

Mr. Ikpe said taking them to court depended on the degree of their mental health status.
He said when jail deliveries were conducted, such cases were reviewed and appropriate actions taken on them.

As at Aug. 19, the prison has 600 inmates with only 113 convicted and serving full prison sentences.

About 374 inmates have not been convicted, while about 116 inmates are in awaiting trial status.

It's Good Night To PDP Forever- Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that the recent crisis in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has shown that the party’s era had come to an end.

Mr. Obasanjo disclosed this while fielding questions from journalists in Jalingo, the Capital City of Taraba, during a tour of some projects in the state.

When asked to comment on the ongoing crisis in his former party, the PDP, Mr. Obasanjo simply said “in the part of the country where I come from, there is a saying that you cannot say ‘good night’ and come to say ‘good evening’ in the same place.

“So for me, it is good night for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and that’s all,” he said.

Mr. Obasanjo. who was one time Chairman, Board of Trustees of the party, had torn his membership certificate before the 2015 election denouncing the party in its entirety.

Recently when a picture and story went out in the media that he was at a PDP event at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, he also made it very clear that he was done with the party and with partisan politics.

Attending PDP Event

A wrongly captioned photograph by NAN had set tongues wagging and the rumour mills busy as to the mission of the former leader, who in 2015 tore his membership card of the PDP.

NAN can confirm that the former leader did not go near the ceremony inaugurating the National Convention Committee of the PDP faction led by Senator Ahmed Makarfi.
Rather, Mr. Obasanjo was at the centre to take part in an agricultural stakeholders meeting, Zero Hunger in Africa-Nigeria chapter

Some news reports had gone ahead with speculations that the former president was making political realignment for 2019 elections.

The PDP event was meant to inaugurate the party’s national convention and financial committees. The party convention, downgraded to be non-elective after a court ban, held on Aug. 17 in Port Harcourt.

According to a statement by Tunde Arosanyin of the Zero Hunger in Africa in Abuja on Saturday, it was just a coincidence that the two meetings were holding at the same venue.

”He came for zero hunger in Africa-Nigeria chapter meeting with commodity Association stakeholders.

”At closing, some PDP members came to greet him at the boardroom of the hunger meeting venue,” Mr. Arosanyin said.

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson replies people who said she didn't space her 3 children enough...

Popular Nollywood actress and mother of 3, Mercy Johnson has said those criticizing her for ‘rushing’ to birth her children her people who do not have direction in life yet. She said she had always dreamed of having four children and when it is time for a woman to get married, she does just that.

Speaking to Punch on the issue and many others, the actress said;

“I feel that when you haven’t gone through life and you don’t have a bearing in life, that’s when you see certain decisions as unreasonable. Most of these people who make these statements have not even realised what they want to do with their lives yet.

“I had planned my life right from when I was growing up. I arranged my life the way I wanted it to go. And that is why even when I was at the peak of my career and marriage came, I grabbed it because I know age keeps going and time waits for no one.

“It means that I can have all of my four kids and then still get back to shape and come back to what I love to do. So I am not going to say things like, ‘I don’t want to have kids yet’ or ‘I am not going to get married and I want to keep acting because the young shall always grow’, you are not going to be number one forever. That is why when it is time for you to do something, you do it. Yoruba will always say in their prayers that when the time for a child to talk has come, by the grace of God, she will talk. When it’s time to go to school, he will go to school. That’s what I’m trying to do. I want to define my life in a way my daughter will want to define her own life,” she said.

She further explained how she has been able to joggle her career, motherhood and marriage.

“I think what has got me this far is placing my decisions on a scale of preference. I love what I do, I adore my husband, I adore my kids, so every time I have to make a decision, I pick which is more important, and I start from there. I understand the home front is more important so I manage my home and create time to do what I have to do. I think that has helped me get this far,” she said.
