Addressing the press weekend in Asaba, the Delta state capital, Mr Okporo Isreal, a civil servant with the Rivers State judiciary,said Emmanuel O. Israel( a.k.a Emzy) 23, is his biological son. Emzy was arrested recently by the police in Mbiama, Ahoada west local government area, North west of Port harcourt, Rivers state at his friend’s place for falsely claiming to be Ned Nwoko Junior in the public, especially in the social media.
Mr Okporo said his son Emzy, “a poor musician saw Ned Nwoko as a rich generous and good natured man “and explored his high profile to seek social relevance. He said Emzy had earlier claimed to be the son of President Mohammadu Buhari.
Mr Okporo pleaded for clemency and noted that exuberance landed his son in trouble.
According to security sources from the Delta state police command , Emzy operated scam Facebook, twitter, WhatsApp and emails to hoodwink the public.
Intelligence reports also revealed that the fake Nwoko’s son had kept physical contacts with several unsuspecting members of the public with dubious promises of securing financial deals and sundry favours to them, with hidden intent to extort.
A native of Rivers state, he has no blood ties with Ned Nwoko. A man with famed moral standing and celebrated integrity.
They would be arraigned in court this week.Emzy was arrested with his sister, Miss Love Israel for criminal impersonation , conspiracy , defamation of character, and conduct likely to threaten public peace. Serious crimes that portend long prison terms.
