Charlaina Wilson, 33, is believed to have sent the X-rated solo-sex video to the boy she reportedly slept with. She was arrested on Friday after police say it was passed around among other students and put online.
Police Chief John Brock said: “I’m told the video has been circulated by a large amount of students over on Facebook and other social media sites. The last I heard, there was over 10,000 hits on one of the sites.”
Agriculture teacher Wilson is said to have had sex with the boy over a six month period.
The mum-of-one resigned from Selma High in Alabama, US, following her arrest. She had worked there since only January.
Wilson has been charged with second degree rape and sodomy, transmitting obscene material to a child by computer and distributing material harmful to minors.
She is being held on $1,006,000 bond.
But Brock said she could face charges in other areas because some of the alleged romps with the teen took place on field trips.
Prosecutor Michael Jackson said: “We’re not going to tolerate teachers having sex with students.
“She could possibly face a lot of time in prison on this.”
