Why Buhari suspended two-day visit to Lagos

*Osinbajo to represent him By Levinus Nwabughiogu The Presidency yesterday scaled down  President Muhammadu Buhari’s two-day official visit slated for today and tomorrow. “The truth is that the Vice-President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo,  will now represent the President in Lagos, said Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu. According to Shehu, ‘’The President is faced with scheduling difficulties and that is the reason for the postponement of the visit. He needs more time for Lagos and for Edo which had earlier been stepped down. File: Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, during his visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Villa, on Friday, April 29, 2016. ’As a result of this, the visit has been scaled down and he is being represented by  the VP, who is going to Lagos to commission a few projects, leaving the rest for Mr. President. The President will undertake these visits after the Ramadan The Muslim 30-day fasting period, Ramadan, may however not start until June 6. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, also confirmed the development, saying he was already in Lagos It was gathered last night that members of the President’s advanced team consisting of protocol officials, security agents, medical officers and journalists were already in Lagos ahead of President Buhari when his trip was cancelled. Survey: Short or long penis, which provides most sexual satisfaction?

The size of a man’s sexual organ, the penis, may not be the only part of the body that can determine the ability of a man to sexually satisfy a woman, a survey by a news Agency has shown. While the length of a penis could help in making sexual intercourse pleasurable in some persons, that could not be the sole determinant in assuring pleasures during an intercourse. Those who spoke in separate interviews with NAN in Lagos on Sunday, noted that sexual satisfaction could depend on the skills and psychological disposition of both partners. According to them, there are other parts of the body that can be exploited to help a woman to derive pleasures in sexual intercourse. These could include fore plays, that play vital roles in helping a women to reach orgasm. The respondents believe that reaching orgasm was a climax during sexual intercourse between a man and woman. According to Wordweb, an online dictionary, orgasm is the moment of the most intense pleasure in sexual intercourse.
Dr Oriola Idris, a gynaecologist of the White Waters Hospital, Lagos, said the size of penis had no physical effect on female sexual satisfaction. “Sexual pleasures for the female folks do not depend on the size of the man’s penis. It depends on a man’s individual skills; we have seen men who have very long and big penis and yet unable to perform well in bed. “Research has shown that men with sexual skills, but with relatively small sized penis can also provide good sexual satisfaction to any lady’’. Another gynaecologist, Dr Julia Anyanwu said a woman could derive sexual satisfaction or reach orgasm from the different erogenous zones of her body. “The penis is not the only part of the body that can help a woman to achieve orgasm. A woman can achieve orgasm from so many different sensitive areas of her body. “The man is expected to work together with his partner to explore these erogenous zones. “So, achieving sexual satisfaction is not only about the length or width of the penis but also about what and how you utilise what you have been endowed with,’’ Anyanwu said. Dr Kunle Adejumo, an urologist said: “studies show that during sexual intercourse, the width of the penis at the base may be more stimulating to the clitoris. “A wide penis may therefore, satisfy a woman better but then other factors that also come into play’’. According to Dr Kelechi Ahuchogu, a psychologist, the penis is usually seen as the sign of masculinity in men in different cultures. “It is because of this reason that the size of the penis helps to boost the male psychology. In sexual plays, a lot of things come into play; for some woman, the width matters more than the length. “Then, emotions, environment, skills and healthiness contribute to whether there will be sexual satisfaction or not,’’ Ahuchogu added. Mr Dare Odubela, an administrative officer in a Lagos-based hospital said that posturing during sexual intercourse had a role to play in the satisfaction of a woman. “I believe that posturing during sex has roles to play in getting a woman to achieve orgasm’’. Mr Titus Anozie, a Lagos-based technologist said: “sexual intercourse and satisfaction are more psychological than physical. “Some people have big penis and do not know how to use it to provide pleasures to a woman. Some even end up using the fat size to hurt their female partners. “Sometimes it depends on a woman as some can achieve orgasm by merely looking into the eyes of a man that they have emotions for’’. According to Mrs Ola Badamosi, a Lagos-based marketing consultant, the size of a penis is important in deriving sexual satisfaction. She said that a small sized penis might not be able to penetrate deep into a woman to provide her the required arousal needed for orgasm to take place. Another respondent, Mrs Mary Isaac, a 33 –year-old banker said that a lady’s first experience could also have a lot to play in deriving sexual pleasures. “If a lady is deflowered with a small manhood, she tends to derive her satisfaction from small penis and not the long sized ones. “A female that has gone through sexual abuse can also find sexual intercourse distasteful. Even, a lady that has had circumcision may not find pleasures in having intercourse’’. This, she notes, can be attributed to the removal of a vital component of a womans sexual organ, the clitoris that helps a woman to acheive full or father sexual pleasures. A Lagos-based Lawyer, Mr Idowu Martins said: “I have a small manhood and I am not afraid to say it; I am very good in the bed and that is a fact. My wife enjoys our love making’’. A trader, known simply as Mrs Ibrahim said: “my husband has it long penis but still unable to make me feel like a woman; I feel so sad about it. “He is usually through within two minutes. If a man has it small and can utilise it, then it’s okay’’. Mr Niyi Iyanu, a traditional healthcare attendant said, having a small penis could really be a major concern for some men but a good psychological disposition could enhance sexual performance. “He said those who have small penis and cannot perform well in bed should seek expert advice from physicians or psychologists’’. Mr Olusola Malomo, a dietician at the Massey Hospital, Lagos suggested that those deficient in sexual activity could seek for some foods that could help to boost their sexual performance. “Some foods can be beneficial. These are foods that can enhance sexual performance because of their components”. He listed them to include watermelon, garlic, ginseng, lemon, ginger, avocado pear, oysters, grain of paradise, alligator pepper and pomegranate seeds. As many experts noted, the size of penis may not satisfy all the sexual desires of a woman, but appropriate manipulations could prove successful in fulfilling the sexual desires of a woman.

I have not seen some of the beneficiaries before in my life or spoken to them. “I’m seeing many of them for the first time today. I am seeing Jide Kosoko for the first time”, he said. Iginla also said he gave cars to the Nollywood actors because many of them were poor but people erroneously think they were rich. Omatseye appeals 5-yr jail sentence

CONVICTED former Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Temisan Omatseye, has appealed the five year – jail term slammed on him by Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia of a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos. Omatseye was prosecuted by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a 27-count charge of bid rigging and contract splitting worth N271 million while he was the boss of the maritime regulatory agency. Ex-NIMASA DG, Omatseye The former NIMASA boss in the appeal by his lawyer,  Edoka Onyeke,  is arguing that he was persecuted and not prosecuted, stressing that contract splitting though existing in the law, the approval above threshold does not exist. The lower court in its judgement noted that the embattled former DG of NIMASA was on suspension. According to Onyeke, “Interestingly, the judge who had been transferred to the Kwara State jurisdiction threw out a January 23, 2013 letter from the Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, which cleared Omatseye of any wrong doing while in the agency. The letter addressed to former President Goodluck Jonathan, signed by  Emeka Ezeh, former DG of BPP informed the president that after a scrutiny of the case, the Bureau was of the view that the 27 count charges were breaches brought under sections of the procurement Act that deals with administrative breaches rather than real offences under the Act that can attract conviction or sanctions from the regular courts. “However in delivering the judgement, Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia surprisingly jettisoned the report admitted as evidence in court, while relying on a secret circular issued in 2007 by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. She discharged and acquitted Omatseye on a three count charge bordering on contract splitting, while sentencing him to five years imprisonment on 23-count charge of N2.5million approval above his threshold, which doesn’t exist in law.”

15-yr-old murder suspect escapes from Edo custody

A murder suspect, identified as Gift Edosomwan, who was arrested for allegedly killing a mother and her three-year-old daughter, has reportedly escaped from a juvenile welfare home, where he was being detained in Benin, the Edo State capital.
It was learnt that Edosomwan escaped last Saturday morning from the welfare home at Upper Sakponba.
The 15-year-old suspect and others at large were alleged to have gruesomely murdered the 28-year-old victim, Itohan Enagbare, and her daughter, Iwinosa, at about 1pm on December 9, 2015.
Southern City News had reported that the deceased mother and child were allegedly stabbed to death at their residence on Osaze Street, off Dumez Road, in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.
The little girl’s loud cry when she saw that her mother was in danger had also caused the killers to stab her in the back and chest before they fled the scene.
The landlady of the house where the incident occurred had earlier been arrested, but was later released when Gift (suspect) was arrested.
However, the teenager, who was said to be living with the landlady, was later arraigned in court and remanded in prison.
The victims were buried side by side in March 2016 at Erediuwa, off Upper Sakponba road in the state capital.
Counsel to the Enagbare family, Jefferson Uwoghiren, who raised the alarm, described the disappearance of the killer teenager as worrisome.
He also called on law enforcement agencies to re-arrest the teenager and those responsible for his alleged escaped.
When contacted on Sunday, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Osifo Abiodun, said that he had yet to receive any report on the incident.
Efforts to reach the officials of the welfare home were not successful.
Abiodun said, “Although I am not aware of that incident, it is not from the police custody that he escaped if at all there is anything like that.
“If there is any escape from custody, either prison or not, and the matter is reported to the police, of course, it is the duty of the police to go after the suspect. I am not aware now.”
