Omg! Rape videos being sold in India

Shops in the northern state of India are reportedly selling videos of women, being raped, to their customers. The videos cost from Rs 20 to Rs 200 (30 cents to $3) and are transmitted to a customer's mobile phone in a matter of seconds.

According to a report by Al Jazeera; the faces of the women were visible in the films, their voices were clear and the attacks on them were brutal.

Shahnawaz, a resident of Incholi village in India, revealed that he had bought some of the rape videos, he even showed it to Al Jazeera.   The man, who refused to use his real name as at the time of the transaction, said that the videos were not generally made with the intention of being sold on the open market.
"They make it to blackmail the victims [of rape], so that they don't go and file a complaint in the nearest police station," Shawnawaz explained. Sometimes, the videos are stolen from the perpetrator's phone when he takes his device to a shop for repairs. The stolen footage is then sold to anyone who asks for it,” he said.
Most of the perpetrators are careful to sell the videos only to locals who request for them, and generally deny any knowledge of them.

Former Army National Guard who pleaded guilty to plotting terror attack in the US, met with other ISIS members in Nigeria

A former Army National Guardsman and Muslim immigrant from Sierra Leone, Mohamed Bailor Jalloh pleaded guilty on October 27th, 2016, to charges of attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), according to a U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announcement.

Jalloh, 27, of Sterling, Va., was arrested in July on charges of assisting an ISIS plot to attack the United States and was taken into custody.

Court documents said a now deceased member of ISIS who was plotting an attack introduced Jalloh and someone in the United States who was actually an informant for the FBI in March 2016.

Jalloh had met the ISIS member and others during a recent six-month trip to Nigeria. Jalloh met twice with the informant and told this person that he'd decided not to re-enlist in the Virginia Army National Guard after hearing lectures from late star al-Qaeda recruiter Anwar al-Awlaki.

He also told the informant that he'd frequently thought about conducting an attack in the U.S., according to the statement of facts filed with the plea agreement. Jalloh said he was inspired by the July 2015 Chattanooga attack and the November 2009 Fort Hood attack.

Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office Paul M. Abbate said Jalloh purchased a weapon following multiple attempts to procure assault rifles and handguns, believing they would be used in an ISIL-directed attack on U.S. soil."Jalloh bought an assault rifle from a Northern Virginia gun dealer on July 2; even though he test-fired the gun first, it was rendered inoperable before he took it home. He was arrested the next day.
"Jalloh also provided money on multiple occasions to support ISIL after attempting to join the terrorist group," Abbate said. This included a $500 transfer that Jalloh thought was going to ISIS but went to an undercover FBI employee.
According to the statement of facts filed with the plea agreement, during the May 2016 meeting, Jalloh asked the CHS about the timeline for an operation and commented that it was better to plan an attack operation for the month of Ramadan, and stated that such operations are, "100 percent the right thing."
"Jalloh attempted to provide material support to ISIL by transferring funds intended for use by ISIL, taking steps to join and assist others in joining ISIL, and attempting to obtain a weapon that he believed would be used in an attack on U.S. soil in the name of ISIL," said Mary B. McCord, Acting Assistant Attorney General for National Security.
"Counterterrorism remains our highest priority and we will continue to hold accountable those who attempt to provide material support to foreign terrorist organizations."
Jalloh faces up to 20 years in prison when he's sentenced on February, 10, 2017, according to DOJ announcement.

Outrage over alleged s*xual abuse of ladies in IDP Camps

A report by Human Rights Watch, detailing alleged s*xual exploitation of women and girls in IDP camps by Nigerian government and security officials, has attracted anger and condemnation.

The HRW report, which was made public in Abuja on Monday, prompted President Buhari to order an investigation into the development, with a pledge to bring those found culpable to book.

Consequently, Buhari on Monday instructed that the alleged exploitation of women and girls in the IDPs camps as contained in the HRW report, be investigated.

The President’s directive was contained in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

According to the statement, Buhari would wait for the outcome of the investigations before deciding his next line of action on the matter.

The presidential spokesman said the President was “worried and shocked” by the HRW report.

He said, “Nigerians and the international community can rest assured that the allegations raised in the HRW are not being taken lightly.

“President Buhari has instructed the Inspector-General of Police and the state governors of the affected states to immediately commence investigations into the issue. Their findings will determine the next course of action for the government and define an appropriate response.”

The report by HRW accused government officials as well as security officials of r*ping and s*xually exploiting women and girls displaced by the Boko Haram criminal activities.

The report accused the government of not doing enough to protect displaced women and girls and ensuring that they had access to basic rights and services.

It also faulted the government for not taking action against the abusers, who, it alleged, included camp leaders, vigilance groups, policemen and soldiers.

The Senior Nigeria Researcher at the HRW, Mausi Segun, was quoted in the report as saying:
"It is bad enough that these women and girls are not getting the much-needed support for the horrific trauma they suffered at the hands of Boko Haram.

“It is disgraceful and outrageous that people, who should protect these women and girls, are attacking and abusing them.”

Four of the victims told HRW that they were drugged and r*ped, while 37 were coerced into s*x through false marriage promises and material and financial assistance.

Many of those coerced into s*x said they were abandoned in case of pregnancy.

Photo of two men who stole bicycles worth N3m and sells one for N10,000

The police in Lagos State have arrested two suspects, Umaru Babangida and John Samuel, in connection with the stealing of two exotic sports bicycles worth about N3m.

The bicycles belong to a resident of Babatunde Crescent, Lekki Phase 1, identified as Osarenkhme Afe.

It was gathered that the stolen items – a Scott X10 hybrid bicycle and a giant defy advanced carbon fibre road bicycle – were valued at N1.1M and N1.9m respectively.

Twenty-year-old Babangida, was said to have bought the Scott X10 hybrid bicycle from Samuel and other suspects at large for N10,000.

They were apprehended on October 22, after the case was reported to the police at the Maroko Police Division.

Punch Metro gathered that Afe had come back from morning jogging on September 14, when he discovered that the bicycles had been stolen.

It was learnt that the thieves had crept into the building when a security guard manning it had slept off, stealing the guard’s phone and the bicycles.

One of the suspects, Babangida, told the police that he was initially suspicious that the bicycle was stolen, but decided to buy it after assurances that there was no problem.

He said, “I bought the bicycle from a man that was brought to me by John (Samuel). I bought it for N10,000 but he didn’t give me a receipt. The man said it belonged to him and that I should not worry.”

Samuel denied the knowledge of the theft, saying he only facilitated the selling of the bicycle to Babangida.

“I met a man on the road and he said he wanted to sell a bicycle. I told him I didn’t have money and took him to my friend, Babangida. I didn’t know it was stolen,” he added.

A police prosecutor, Inspector Philip Osijale, on Monday arraigned the two suspects before a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court on three counts bordering on stealing and receiving stolen property.

The charges read in part, “That you, John Samuel and others now at large on September 14, 2016, at about 6.30am, at Babatunde Crescent, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area, within the Lagos Magisterial District, did steal one giant defy advanced carbon fibre road bicycle valued at N1.935,000, and one Scott X10 hybrid bicycle valued at N1.1m, property of one Osarenkhme Afe, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section  285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.”

The defendants pleaded not guilty and were granted bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties each in like sum by a presiding magistrate, Mrs. M.B. Folami.

The case was adjourned till December 21, 2016.

Lagos PDP has hailed the achievements of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, but didn’t spare his predecessor, Babtunde Raji Fashola. In a press statement released yesterday, the spokesman for the opposition PDP chapter, Taofik Gani, said Ambode had taken exaggerated achievements government to places that was abandoned by his predecessor, saying Fashola only exaggerated his achievements and didn’t work per say. They also asked why the President will make him a minister on something related to Engineering when he is a lawyer. Part of what he said;

“We sincerely advise President Buhari to be very wary of the deceptive skills of Fashola who will usually hype and celebrate even mediocrity.

“Fashola has a penchant for misrepresenting facts of his achievements in government and would always rationalise obvious inadequacies.Continue...

“As governor of Lagos State, he enjoyed unprecedented revenues and donations, yet he left many services untouched or unfinished. He, however, deliberately funded his pro-Fashola media and commentators so much that pseudo and exaggerated achievements were ascribed to him.

“He employed this model to promote his eight years government of mediocrity. Fashola ended up making Lagos State the biggest debtor with local and foreign debts well over N1trn.”

Omg! Son beheads village head and throws corpse into pit toilet ...photo

Disaster struck, penultimate Monday, at Ekpri Ikot Ene community, Akpabuyo Local Government Area, Cross River State, when an enraged 23-year-old son butchered his father, who is the village head, HRH Francis Ekpo Ene, and dumped his remains inside the family’s pit toilet for persistently accusing him of stealing his money without facts.

NDV gathered that killer-son (Francis Ekpo Jnr.) supposedly acted under a powerful and diabolical influence, as he was not known to be a violent person before the sacrilegious incident.

How it happened—Wife

The wife of the deceased, Mrs. Affiong Offiong Asuquo, who spoke to NDV, said signs of trouble emerged in the household when an unnoticeable amount of money, sometimes between N20, 000 to N50, 000 started disappearing from the safe in the bedroom of the late ruler. Continue...

Her words: “The problem started when my husband’s money started missing and he had always thought that it was his first son, who was responsible for the theft, not knowing that he was not the person involved, and he had always denied being the one. The height was when he sold his oil and kept N90,000 in a Nido milk can and the money got missing again, he was really angry because he could not fathom why such an amount of money could get missing in his house.”

She confided in NDV that the money was actually being stolen by their daughter, who after her escapade, disappeared to her boyfriend’s place and returned after they exhausted the cash, pretending as she knew nothing and the late villager head would rail accusations on the epileptic son. She said the boy had always said: “One day, I will steal your money since you are accusing me of what I did not do. He had also been cursing that one day; I will slaughter you and throw you inside the toilet for accusing me wrongly.’

All these came to pass that night as the father started shouting at him to provide the money he took from his room, the boy got angry and picked up a cutlass and pursued his father as I tried to intervene, he almost cut me,” the widow said.

She further explained: “I had to call for help, I went out to call people, including the youth leader because it was a bit late at night, before I came back with the people in a matter of minutes, the deed had already been done, he had already killed his father and dumped him inside the pit toilet behind the house.”

Blood trace

She added : “When I came back with the people I went to seek help from, they asked him where his father was, he replied that he does not know, so they started searching for him, then they saw a blood trail, which they followed right to the pit toilet and saw that he has butchered the monarch with a little flesh just holding his head to his neck, pushed off the mud which covered part of the toilet so that the opening could allow the lifeless body into the toilet.”

Speaking further, she told NDV that they apprehended him and handed him over to the Police and her husband embalmed in the house.

At the deceased’s residence

Meanwhile, when NDV reporter got to the house of the village head, his kinsmen, including the children were seen eating. One of his daughters, Favour Francis Ekpo, said: “She was not around when the incident took place, but she knew that her elder brother and father have had little issues for some time. She further asserted: “I was called on the phone when the incident took place because I was not at home I only came back to see what happened.”
