Watch video of Hillary Clinton's first emotional public appearance since concession speech

A weary looking Hillary Clinton made her first public appearance yesterday since her concession speech following the shocking election loss to Donald Trump.
'I will admit coming here tonight wasn't the easiest thing for me,' she said at the Children's Defense Fund's gala in Washington, D.C on Wednesday...

Clinton said she wished she could meet up with her late mum and tell her that her daughter will grow up and not just become a United States senator but also win more than 62 million votes in a U.S presidential election.

Clinton's mum, Dorothy Rodham traveled by train to California with her younger sister to live with her grandparents, who constantly abused them, prompting her to travel back to her hometown of Chicago, Illinois to start up life, and Hillary said she wished she could talk to her while she was on that train.

She also implored her supporters, to “believe in our country, fight for our values and never give up despite the election results.

In her first public remarks since conceding to President-elect Donald J. Trump last week, Mrs. Clinton told the crowd she was struggling to recover from an unexpected defeat that she said had left nonwhite children and vulnerable people across the nation afraid.
“There have been a few times this past week when all I wanted to do is just to curl up with a good book, or our dogs, and never leave the house again.”

“I believe the measure of any society is how we treat our children, and as we move forward into a new and in many ways uncertain future, that must be the test for America and ourselves,” Mrs. Clinton said in a 20-minute speech.

“No child should be afraid to go to school because they’re Latino, or African-American, or Muslim, or because they have a disability.”

Introduced by Marian Wright Edelman, the group’s president and founder, as “the people’s president” and the first woman to win the popular vote, Mrs. Clinton, who had accepted the group’s invitation before the election, said she had had to overcome deep sorrow to keep the commitment.

“I know many of you are deeply disappointed about the results of the election. I am, too — more than I can ever express,” she said. “I know this isn’t easy. I know that over the past week, a lot of people have asked themselves whether America was the country we thought it was.”

“But we must believe in our country, fight for our values and never give up.”

"I dream of going up to her (my mum), and sitting next to her and taking her in my arms and saying, 'Look, look at me and listen. You will survive. You will have a family of your own: three children,'" an emotional Clinton said, choking up.

"And as hard as it might be to imagine, your daughter will grow up to be a United States senator, represent our country as secretary of state, and win more than 62 million votes for president of the United States."

Man City favorites to sign Lionel Messi after he rejects new Barcelona deal

Image result for images of messi
Manchester City lad bitter rivals Man Utd in the race to sign Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi after the player last week rejected Barcelona's new contract offer.

Messi refused Barcelona's offer after seeing that it's not as good as he wanted it to be, compared to the one recently given to his rival Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

Man City have now upped their attempts to sign the very talented forward.
According to the Sun UK, Man U were confident of signing Messi, seeing that he is even an Adidas ambassador as Adidas sponsors the club too, but Man City have strengthened talks with Messi's team to try to sign him if he were to ever consider leaving Barcelona.

The report reads: 'Man United have admitted defeat and believe bitter rivals City would be favorites to sign Lionel Messi if he was to leave Barcelona.

An Old Trafford source said: “City would be the favorites if he were to one day leave, but we would obviously love the sign a player of that level. We can certainly compete on the cash front and Messi is an Adidas player like Paul Pogba, so we have our pluses.''

Update! Man with HIV who had sex with 104 women and girls to be given verdict on Friday ..photo

Eric Aniva, a popular sex worker from Malawi who claimed he had sex with 104 women and girls as part of an ‘initiation ritual’ despite being HIV positive will appear in court on Friday for his expected verdict. In July, Eric was arrested on presidential orders after he admitted in an interview with BBC that he had unprotected sex with girls as young as 12 or 13 years old.
‘Most of those I have slept with are girls, school-girls, some girls are just 12 or 13 years old, but I prefer them older. All these girls find pleasure in having me as their hyena.
They actually are proud and tell other people that this man is a real man; he knows how to please a woman.’
After his arrest, none of the girls he assaulted came forward to testify against him until two women gave in evidence during his trial after he also confessed to have had sex with newly bereaved widows as part of the ‘cleansing ritual’, according to BBC report.

Aniva who is also being charged with having sex with bereaved widows, which is outlawed under Malawi's Gender Equality Act, will know his faith on Friday, November 18, and if he is convicted he would face possible jail term in Prison.

Nigerian doctor, Bennet Omalu, who discovered CTE in NFL players gets American Medical Association highest honor ...photo

Dr. Bennet Omalu, the Nigerian forensic neuropathologist who first discovered Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in an NFL player in 2002, has been honoured with the American Medical Association (AMA) Distinguished Service Award during the opening session of the 2016 AMA Interim Meeting in Orlanda, Fla. on Saturday, November 12th.

Dr. Omalu, MD, MBA, MPH, overcame massive efforts to discredit him and his research, and today CTE is widely recognized as a health risk in millions of patients with histories of repetitive brain trauma, including military veterans. The 48-year-old Enugwu-ukwu, Anambra State born physician was working as a forensic neuropathologist in Pittsburgh when he conducted postmortem examinations of former NFL offensive lineman Mike Webster’s brain and spotted what would become the hallmarks of CTE.
"When I looked at his brain and he had diffuse amyloid plaques everywhere and there were no neuritic plaques … I took the slides home with me,” Dr. Omalu said in a 2015 interview. "I spent six months with those slides. I saw tau randomly situated, and not reminiscent of any other dementia that I knew. My first reaction, when I went to the literature, was that I expected to find previous reports like this, but I didn’t find even one."
He had the case published in 2005 and went on to identify CTE in postmortem examinations of numerous other former NFL players. Dr. Omalu initially thought the league would be pleased to learn of his findings, but when they were presented at an NFL meeting on concussions in 2007, they were dismissed, and the league—through lawyers, physicians and other experts—went on to mount a coordinated effort to discredit Dr. Omalu and his research.

At the time, the Nigerian-born Dr. Omalu was not a U.S. citizen, and his immigration status was dependent on his continued employment. He stuck to his findings in the face of intense pressure, and in 2009—seven years after his discovery—the NFL relented and publicly acknowledged the link between concussions sustained in football and CTE.

"Because of the service Dr. Omalu has rendered to every player and every family member in the football and other sporting communities, I am delighted to present him, on behalf of the AMA, with the Distinguished Service Award—our highest honor," AMA President Andrew W. Gurman, MD, said in a statement.
"His meritorious service is all the more remarkable given that Dr. Omalu was relatively junior at the time of his discovery, having only completed his pathology residency a few years prior to describing CTE."
Dr. Gurman said he strongly believes "that Dr. Omalu—by his work, determination and dedication—strongly exemplifies the best of American medicine. Nominated by the AMA Board of Trustees and endorsed by the House of Delegates, the Distinguished Service Award recognizes a member of the AMA for meritorious service in the science and art of medicine.

Dr. Omalu attended medical school at the University of Nigeria at 16. He became a U.S. citizen in 2015 and now serves as chief medical examiner for the San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office in California and is a clinical associate professor in the University of California, Davis, Department of Medical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

The story of Dr. Omalu’s CTE research and the pressure he faced from the NFL inspired the 2015 film “Concussion,” in which he was portrayed by Will Smith.
At the 2016 AMA interim Meeting, delegates voted to adopt policy supporting research into the detection, causes and prevention of injuries along the continuum from subconcussive head impacts to conditions such as CTE.

A 15-year-old boy (names withheld), who allegedly defiled his neighbour’s eight-year-old girl, was on Thursday granted a N500, 000 bail by a Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State.

The chief magistrate, Mrs. Nwachukwu Ipaye who gave the ruling said that the accused must provide two sureties as part of his bail conditions.

Ipaye said one of the sureties must be a property owner in Lagos State while the other must be a blood relation of the accused.

She also ruled that both sureties should provide evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

Ipaye ordered that the accused should be kept in the custody of the Correctional Institute for boys in Abeokuta, Ogun, until the bail was perfected.‎

She directed that the case file should be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice and adjourned to Dec.15.

The accused, who resides at No. 23, Onajimi St., Pedro, Surulere , had pleaded not guilty to a charge of defilement.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Anthonia Osayande had told the court that the accused committed the offence at his residence on Nov. 6.

She said the accused lured his victim to his parents’ apartment when they went to work and had a canal knowledge of her.

The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

Update! Zenith bank staff, John Edobor accused of breaking his wife's legs, finally speaks ..photo

In September, Ivie Edobor, a Mother of three, took to social media to accuse her husband, John Edobor, of attacking her after they separated ways following their failed marriage. She accused him of organizing a group of area boys to join him in brutally assaulting her, breaking her legs in the process.

Three days ago, one of Ivie Edobor's lawyers, Emeka Ugwuonye, revealed Mr John Edobor had been fired by his workplace Zenith bank and is currently standing trial for the attempted murder of of his estranged wife. John Edobor has now come out with hos own side of the story, along with some heavy accusations. Read below.

My Ordeal in the hands of Ivie

Ivie Angela Edobor who lives in Surulere, Lagos, got married at Saint Dominics Catholic Church, 356, Herbert Macaulay Street, Yaba, Lagos on Saturday, 30th June, 2007 at 12:00noon. We did the traditional marriage ceremony at the father’s compound at Abisogun Estate, Alafia Sari-Iganmu, off Lagos Badagry Expressway on a Thursday, 28th June, 2007. And as well as the marriage Registry in Lagos at Ikoyi on the 17th January, 2007 (all the marriage documents are attached).
Ivie and I are blessed with three lovely children (three girls – senior 9 years old; second – 7 years and 4 years old respectively). Ivie and I had lived together all these years in peace devoid of rancour and acrimony together and love.

Ivie Edobor once worked for Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc until she resigned her appointment on the 11th July, 2011 in view of the fact that she was been accused of collecting kickbacks from the bank's contractors in order for her to perform her duties as administrative staff. She exhibited these traits of fraud, corrupt practices and financial misappropriation which led to her termination and dismissal from Econet (now Airtel)
… Prior to marrying me she once worked at a prominent multinational mobile company (Econet now Airtel) where She was dismissed for lack of integrity due to lies in addition to her serial borrowing from her many colleagues.

When Ivie resigned from Stanbic IBTC Bank in 2011, (find attached her resignation letter) in order for her not to be at home doing nothing, we both had a discussion on her nest line of what she could do and then she suggested that she wanted to start importing diapers from the United Kingdom (UK) and start distributing and selling in retail which I obliged her by giving her initial start-up capital of about N500, 000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) and as the year progresses, we noticed that the business was moving I had to borrow moneys from friends and with my personal savings to inject into the business which amounted to about N8million (Eight Million Naira Only).
Every year, it was our agreement that audit be done to ensure that, the business is actually doing well and to make sure tax is paid to Government as well. This was actually adhered to in 2012 and in 2013, I noticed that Ivie had refused to call the accountant to come audit her books. I kept insisting on the audit to be done since she knows the accountant and have his contacts and moreover where we were staying in Ajah at No 76, House 3, Street X, Abraham Adesanya Estate, Ajah, Lagos, was not far from where the accountant was actually living in Ajah.

This persisted until in September 17th 2014 when strange faces of people I had never met or spoken with before kept coming to knock at my gate as early as 5a.m. every morning to demand for their moneys from Ivie and when the amount was added together that came knocking and requesting for their moneys it came to about N25,204,250 (Twenty Five Million, Two Hundred and Four Thousand, Two Hundred and Fifty Naira Only). Please see attached the list of people she was owing and these people are available if you which to speak with them. Most of them said Ivie told them that her dad was sick and she needs money to treat her very sick dad. Just like she has said on FB that I dont give her money....

Despite all these borrowings, Ivie could not account for what the sum of N25, 204,250 was spent on and till date she has not being able to explain in clear terms what the money was used for. She could not explain to me or her family members how she spent such huge sum of money. It became clear of recent after two years that she actually borrowed these moneys to save face from shame since Mr. Matthew Agbaire who she was dating was threatening to blackmail her if she could not part with money anytime Matthew Agbaire requested for any sum to use for himself.

On 11 October 2014, one of the ivie’s creditors known as Tolu and her family members, came to the house when I had gone for a training, dragged my sister (Otekpen) out of the bathroom when she was having her bath and assaulted and humiliated her. The matter was reported by me to the Nigerian Police Station, Ogombo, Ajah, Lagos and the matter was recorded in crime diary S/NO 80, Time 2055 HRS. (go and verify for yourselves).

When the threat of violence was becoming too much, I advised ivie to relocate to her father’s house temporarily till a time that the entire or substantial part of the indebtedness would have been defrayed and the threat of violence most especially on the children of the marriage would stop.

After Ivie left our matrimonial home as agreed, we were still meeting on Fridays to Sundays at the matrimonial home in Ajah to discuss our family affairs. And we were during this period still performing our marital responsibility to each other. (evidence to support this assertion with printed copies of correspondence between us and her pregnancy.)
In November 24th, 2015, Ivie was pregnant for me with twins which she confirmed severally in our chat (see attached for your perusal and confirmation the Ultra Sound Scan Report for the LMP and EDD) and the pregnancy grow for 5 (five) months and the babies had become 5(five) months old in June.

Since Ivie was living in Surulere despite my several plead to the father to allow Ivie and the children to come join me in Yaba notwithstanding that Ivie and I looked for the apartment in Yaba for us to live as one family again, Ivie decided to stay back in surulere and every Fridays she would come to sleep with me while on weekdays she kept sleeping with Matthew Agbaire who is married with his own kids.

Until May 2016, when my kids where on midterm break, and they came to spend the holiday with me in Yaba that two of my children told me that, every night, one uncle Matthew was always coming to the house to sleep in mummy’s room till the next day and he will buy them suya. And when I asked Ivie she initially denied until I showed her a video clip of what the child that she then admitted (see attached our chat for your perusal) and at this time Ivie was still pregnant.

Since Ivie knew the consequences of her action she begged and pleaded that, she would need to go for confession which she did in June 5th, 2016 at Saint Dominic Catholic Church, Yaba. There she promised the reverend father Felix never to go back to such life again. Two days later I received a phone call from the house help that, Matthew came again to take her out and did not return until late in the night. When I asked Ivie she denied and she beat up the house help as well as collected her phone from her.
At this time Ivie had threatened she was going to flush the babies since I am doubting the paternity of the twin. Because, I asked Ivie if you are pregnant for me and still kept sleeping with another man (Matthew Agbaire) so who own the babies? We would need to do a DNA test to actually know who their father is.
Three days later, Ivie and Matthew Agbaire went to abort the babies since she was worried that I kept insisting on the DNA of the children. When I asked ivie what happened to the babies she said she could not face the shame of having bastard children which am not ready to father and this kept me worried up till now since Ivie could kill children that were already formed (7months) babies.

I spoke with the father who lives in Orile, in Lagos and even went to see him about it and all I got from the father was he will talk to Ivie and two of her aunties and I tried calling her mother who lives in UK but she would not pick her calls and as well told my family members about it too.

On what happened in June 19th 2016, incident that got ivie admitted at Tokin Hospital for broken leg, contrary to claims by Ivie, she actually got injured during a scuffle between myself and Matthew Agbaire who brought out a hammer his tool box in his car to fight me when Ivie at sighting me started shouting ole, ole for the security men to come and kill when Matthew brought her back home past one (1:00a.m.) in the morning while the children were left at home with a girl of about 13years old to care for them while Ivie and Matthew went to a hotel to have sex. Ivie in an attempt to allow Matthew to run away was holding on to my hands backward and in the course of my struggle, Ivie and I fell to the ground and then, Matthew wanted to seize the opportunity to slam the hammer in his hand on me which I dodged and then I noticed he was not relenting the second time after first strike which actually hit ivie, and then she shouted, when saw him trying to raise his hand again, I had to row over ivie and stood on my feet before the security men came to rescue the situation. Matthew quickly rushed her to a hospital in Surulere perhaps the same hospital the twin was aborted by Ivie and Matthew.

Ivie has consistently told people that I have not been taking care of the children school fees (find attached the receipts of my children school fees till date for your perusal) and that because they are girls and not boys that was the reason I drove her out of the matrimonial home. This statement is reckless and unfortunate because I love my daughters and in several instances I had used prominent woman who are role models like Okonjo Iwala to buttress my stand on this even to her. I do know for sure my children will grow up to be greater than men and their knowledge will be sort after around the world. She has push out false information to the public for her to continuously gain sympathy from the public, press, bloggers, the civil society and human rights activist.

In another case, she has said I came prepared with the intention to kill her that night she was injured by Matthew, with a knife and of recent a dagger and crowbar or wheel spanner to attack her. And I keep wondering with the inconsistency the tools she keep naming that I used. The fact is, I came into Lagos that night (18th June, 2016) from school in Ile - Ife at about 9p.m. with my school bag and book in it and my car was parked at the stadium where I drove to her house which is a stone throw away from her house and I did not get Yaba before going to see her that night since we had agreed to meet that night. Matthew was the one who works for a construction company and had his tool box where he brought out his big hammer he used on Ivie.

It will shock you to know that Ivie was married to one Mr. Benedith Jatto on the 17th December 2002 a document she used in her NYSC and equally in her former place of employment while she was working with Airtel Nigeria. I got to know and see all of these when this issue came up and a copy of the document is available for your perusal. And up till date that married has not been dissolved which means ivie is legally married to two men.

Ivie is doing all these for her to hide her shame and the face of Matthew Agbaire a father of two who is still married to his wife, and work in Centrix Allied Limited who is the brain behand her termination of the twin and the her broken leg. It is unfortunate that Ivie is acting this way because as my wife and mother of my beautiful children this is not the way I planned for us.
As a responsible father I have consistently played my role and provided for them to the best of my ability all that they needed.
So please tell me how I went wrong.... You can imagine my shock to find out that I am her 2nd husband...was it wrong of me to have encouraged and empowered my wife? Please tell me which man will take it...she only shouted out so the issue of the children she killed will not come limelight....

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three internet fraudsters, who until their arrest, were into cyber crime, popularly known as “yahoo plus”.

This was made known by the Police Public Relations (PPRO), SP Adekunle Ajisebutu, in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan.

According to Ajisebutu, “their arrest was made possible following a tip-off by members of the public.

“The suspects, Lanre (26),  Sukanmi (28) and Opeyemi (26) were picked up from their hideout at Soka area, Ibadan, at about 6.30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16 by the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad. The suspects who had been elusive for some time now, were eventually arrested after several days of intelligence gathering and painstaking investigation carried out by the police.

“During interrogation, the suspects confessed to being internet fraudsters and had defrauded many innocent victims they referred to as ‘clients’ of their hard-earned money in Naira and foreign currencies. They also disclosed that they often use charms to facilitate their illicit business.

“This they did by hypnotising victims and ‘commanding’ them to part with their Dollars and valuable properties. They further disclosed that those who had fallen victims included foreign nationals and Nigerians.”

Ajisebutu revealed that exhibits recovered from them included four assorted laptops and charms.

The police image maker said the state Commissioner of Police, Samuel Adegbuyi, has directed that a discreet investigation be carried out about their other nefarious activities at the end of which they would be arraigned.

He, however, advised youths to shun crimes and engage in legitimate businesses, even as he vowed to prosecute unrepentant criminals in the state.

ProtestersiIn Brazil demand Military Coup

Dozens of protesters demanding a military coup have forced their way into Brazil's lower chamber of Congress in the capital, Brasilia. At least 40 demonstrators scuffled with guards and took over the podium as a session began on Wednesday.

Denouncing government corruption, they called for a return to military rule - which Brazil saw from 1964 to 1985. In Rio de Janeiro, police fired tear gas at public sector workers protesting against cuts.

The protesters swept past security guards and smashed a glass door to get into the parliament chamber, where they shouted "general here, general here" and sang the national anthem.

It took police three hours to round up all the protesters, according to Reuters news agency. They were all detained.

A Nigerian student jailed in the UK after brave victim recorded him as he sexually assaulted her ..photo

27 year old Peter Odukoya, a Computer science undergraduate in the UK, has been convicted by a UK court after it heard an audio of a 20 year old woman he sexually assaulted. In the audio which was played in the court by the prosecution, the woman was heard pleading with him as he assaulted her "I don't want this. I'm very drunk".
Odukoya had on the day he attacked the lady, met her at a night out with some of his friends. He offered to give her a lift which she accepted. Odukoya then dropped off his other friends at their homes before heading back to his flat with his victim who was already drunk.
According to express.co.uk, his victim's "instincts kicked in" in the car and she turned on her phone's recording app which recorded her saying "Please, I have a boyfriend. I don't want this. I'm very drunk.”
She managed to push him off and lock herself in his bathroom before ringing a friend to pick her up. The girl later gave the disturbing recordings to police.
Lead Prosecutor, Harry Baker, told the court "She was left humiliated. It affected her grades. She says it completely took her dignity away."
Odukoya's counsel, Andrew Davies told the court that he had been suspended from his computer sciences course after the sex assault. He said his client had brought "shame" to his family in Nigeria, who had saved up to send him to study in the UK. His father has completely disowned him and cut him off from his family, which will affect him for the rest of his life."
Recorder of Cardiff, Judge Eleri Rees QC, told Odukoya: "This girl sat on your settee and without warning you pulled down her trousers and her knickers. She pleaded with you to stop. She was extremely distressed. You have showed no remorse. You said nothing of a sexual nature occurred which was undermined by the recordings. You took advantage of a young woman who was very vulnerable."
Odukoya, a computer science student, of Treforest, Pontypridd, was jailed for year after being found guilty of sexual assault. He will remain on the sex offenders register for 10 years and given a restraining order against his victim for five years.

Denver becomes first city in America to allow weed/marijuana use in bars and restaurants

Image result for images of weed

Marijuana loving residents in Denver have officially voted for a 'first in the history of the United States' law that allows residents to smoke weed in bars and restaurants but they must first of all get the approval of neighbors.

According to a report by NBC News, the law takes effect immediately but businesses like bar spots and restaurants would have to show they have neighborhood approval before they can get weed license.

Read the NBC News report below

Denver voters have approved a first-in-the-nation law allowing willing bars and restaurants to give patrons the option to use marijuana alongside a cocktail or meal. The catch: Smoking pot won’t be allowed inside, and the locations would have to first get the approval of neighbors.

Denver voters approved Proposition 300 on the same day that the nation’s largest state of California and two others legalized pot for all adults and five more states approved pot for sick people — signs of society’s increasing tolerance for the drug.

Wow! Photo of conjoined Nigerian twins successfully separated at U.S. hospital

Conjoined twins from Nigeria have been successfully separated after a complex operation at a Tennessee hospital days before their first birthday.

Miracle and Testimony Ayeni were separated during 18 hours of surgery that began on November 7 and ended on November 8th at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital,.

Memphis, spokeswoman Anne Glanker said.
"Miracle and Testimony Ayeni came to Le Bonheur six months ago seeking help. They were born conjoined at the lower half of their bodies, sharing multiple organs. Connected, these girls would never be able to walk or ride a bike or even grow up to have families of their own. But last week, our expert surgical team performed a complex 18-hour surgery, successfully separating the twins. Today, their parents are able to hold them separately," the hospital said.
The twins were joined together at the pelvis, a condition that occurs in one of about 5 million births, said Dr. Max Langham, who led the surgery team.
"Without separation, their future wasn't very good," Langham said at a news conference on Tuesday. "They would grow up inconsistent, unable to walk, totally dependent for all of their care and unable to participate in the world fully."
On Wednesday, November 16th, the family had another reason to celebrate as it was the twins' first birthday. Check out all the videos on the hospital Facebook page.
