Florida boy calls 911 to invite police officers to Thanksgiving dinner...photo

A 911 dispatcher in the Florida Panhandle received an unusual -- albeit heartwarming -- call from young resident on Thanksgiving Day.

"A little boy melted all the hearts in Walton County Sheriff's Office Communication Center today," read a post on Walton County Sheriff Michael A. Adkinson, Jr.'s Facebook page.

According to the post, a boy named Billy called 911 Thursday afternoon "to invite WCSO staff/deputies to come eat Thanksgiving dinner with he and his family."

Considering most calls that 911 dispatchers receive are from people in a state of distress, the call was a pleasant aberration.

"With all the bad calls we take on a daily basis this one was a welcomed happy call that made all of us smile," said lead communications officer Monica Webster.

Billy was paid "a special visit" by deputy Damon Byrd and deputy Aaron Ethridge, who gave him a sheriff’s badge.

The deputies also allowed him to sit in their patrol car.

The Facebook post concluded, "While we do not encourage this use of 911 ... we are so honored at the invitation. Thank you Billy for making all of our days here at WCSO.Love What Matters #LoveWhatMatters."

Two Nigerian men arrested in Thailand for swindling women seeking foreign husbands

Police on Thursday, November 24th, arrested two Nigerians and three Thai women for allegedly swindling women seeking foreign husbands out of 50 million baht through an internet romance scam.

According to Provincial Police Region 4 chief Pol Maj Gen Jatupon Parnraksa, the two Nigerian men identified as Okwutor Peter, 29, and Jeremiah Ndidi, 27 and their three Thai accomplices were arrested at a Bangkok condominium where police seized 20 bank books and ATMs with transactions totalling more than 50 million baht.

They also confiscated 15 mobile phones, a laptop computer and 50 other valuable items.

The Thai suspects were identified as Jaerati Saisin and Nattacha Thongbai, both 30, from Rayong and Yasothon, who were married to the Nigerians. The third woman was a 34-year-old Bangkok native, Ketsara Marksiri.

Pol Maj Gen Jatupon said police acted on a complaint filed in Udon Thani province last month by the gang’s latest victim who was a 45-year-old rubber plantation owner who had been swindled out of  500,000 baht.

The Nigerians claimed to be good-looking, white and well-to-do. They developed close ties with women seeking rich foreign husbands via Facebook or online chat programmes, and proposed marriage. They would then claim that they were detained by airport and customs authorities for bringing in cash that was more than the legal limit, and asked the victims to transfer money to them to pay for tax on the cash.

Police believe Peter and Ndidi are part of a larger Nigerian gang operating online romance scams, led by a Nigerian mafia man identified only as Yusuf.

Photo of 19-year-old Nigerian student arrested in connection to campus rape in Louisiana, US

19-year-old Nigerian University student, Eseoghene Ovuede was arrested Monday, November 14th, in connection to an on-campus rape reported in late April.

However, Ovuede in his statement said the victim had approached and asked if he had any cocaine. He said did not, she then asked him to come to her room to have sex but he declined because he had never had sex before and was scared.
According to the affidavit of probable cause obtained from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, on April 23 LSUPD was called to the Baton Rouge Police Department Second District station in reference to a sexual assault that took place at the East Campus Apartments on campus.

SUPD spokesperson Lt Kevin Scott said the victim stated she met an unknown male near ECA who walked up the stairs with her and into her apartment. The victim then stated that once she had made it into her apartment, the unknown male followed her into her room. It was there that he sexually assaulted her. The victim said the attacker then left without saying a word. She said she had never met the attacker before and did not know his name.

Police said DNA samples were taken from the apartment and placed into evidence. Pictures were also taken of the bruises that the suspect left on the victim, according to police records. During the investigation, police were unable to come up with an identity for the attacker, and the victim became distraught when attempting to speak about the incident, according to police records. Police said after time had passed, the victim no longer wanted to speak about the incident, and the case was closed until new information would be discovered.

On Oct. 22, during the LSU versus Ole Miss football game, the victim contacted and informed LSUPD that she had made contact with the attacker on campus. After meeting with LSUPD, the victim told police she was walking to ECA when he drove up to her and offered her a ride. The victim told police she accepted the ride to try and obtain an identity for the suspect. After taking a picture of the license plate of the vehicle, she got in and drove a short distance with him.

Through the investigation, LSUPD was able to trace the Texas license plate back to a Monday Ovuede, and the phone number back to a Eseoghene Ovuede. After searching the LSU main database, LSUPD found an Eseoghene Ovuede and a Mudiaga Ovuede. However, due to an oversight by LSUPD, it was believed Eseoghene Ovuede was a female, so a lineup was done with Mudiaga Ovuede instead.

After the police lineup and further reviewing the database, it was determined that Eseoghene Ovuede was in fact a male. On Oct. 25, LSUPD made contact with Ovuede and asked if he would be willing to speak about the incident that took place in April. Ovuede stated he had no idea what the officer was speaking of and had never seen the victim prior to giving her a ride on Oct. 22. Ovuede agreed to give a DNA sample and said his DNA would not be in her apartment. The sample was taken and sent to the State Police Crime Lab.

Then on Nov. 2, Ovuede went to LSUPD and told officers that he did in fact remember meeting the victim in April and going up into her room, according to police records. In his statement, Ovuede wrote that he was approached by the victim near ECA who asked if he had any cocaine. Ovuede said he did not and the victim then asked him to come into the victim’s room. Ovuede did not admit to sexually assaulting her and stated the victim wanted to have sex with him, but he declined because he had never had sex before and was scared.

A warrant was put out for Ovuede’s arrest on Nov. 9, and on Nov. 14, he was arrested for second-degree rape and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

UniAbuja student shot dead by 'Cultists' in his parents' house ...photo

Suspected cultists have killed a student of the University of Abuja, Onyekachi Azubuko. He was killed behind his parents’ residence off Gado Nasko Way, Kubwa, a satellite town in the FCT.

According to Northern City News,  25yrs old Onyekachi was shot dead on Tuesday afternoon shortly after stepping out of the house to meet some friends.

His corpse was identified by his brother, Joel, before it was taken to the morgue by the police.

It was learnt that residents of the area were thrown into panic when they heard sporadic gunshots by unknown gunmen, who were believed to be members of a cult group.

Findings indicate that Azubuko, the father of the deceased, was at work when Joel told him about the incident, prompting him to visit Kubwa General Hospital morgue to see the body of his second son.

The bereaved father was reluctant to comment on the incident.

“The family has nothing to say on the incident, the police are already investigating it and if you need any information, please, go to the Kubwa Divisional Police Station,” he stated.

But prompted further, Azubuko said Onyekachi was planning to go back to school before he was killed, adding that he was trying to raise money for him and his brother, who's also a student.

He described the deceased as a brilliant student and a good sportsman, noting that he had warned him against keeping company with men of suspicious character.

The father said, “He was a son dear to my heart, a good sportsman and a brilliant student. But I observed that he had been derailing, he has been keeping company with some suspicious characters and I asked him about his friends, but he denied being a member of a cult group.

“We are a strong Christian family and we don’t condone acts of indiscipline. I warned him several times about the company he was keeping.”

He said his family was already making arrangements for Onyekachi’s funeral.

This is according to Vanguard ...
A Lagos State Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ikeja, yesterday, remanded in Kirikiri Prison, Seun Egbegbe, former boyfriend to actress and social media celebrity, Toyin Aimakhu, for alleged theft of 10 pieces of iPhones.

Seun was arraigned before Magistrate Y. O. Aje-Afunwa, on one count charge of theft slammed against him by the police. Seun, who pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him, was alleged to have committed the offence at the Computer Village, Ikeja, where he requested for the phones.

The police prosecution told the court that the incident occurred while the sales girl was trying to calculate the items Seun requested for, but that he allegedly ran out of the shop with the phones and tried to board a waiting vehicle.

The sales girl allegedly raised the alarm, which attracted other traders in the market. He was eventually caught and beaten to a pulp before the police intervened and rescued him.

The presiding magistrate, Aje-Afunwa, granted him N1 million bail and two sureties in like sum. He was ordered to be remanded in Kirikiri pending when he would fulfil his bail conditions.

A mild drama, however, played out outside the court as Seun’s supporters threatened to beat up journalists if they took the accused pictures. It took the intervention of police and court orderlies, who sent the rowdy mob out of the court premises, to save the situation. While journalists waited to take Seun’s picture, his family members colluded with prison warders to sneak him out of the court premises through the back door into a waiting prison vehicle.

Omg! Parents plead for help as their obese children try to eat themselves to death ..photo

Anxious parents, Rameshbhai and Pragnaben Nandwana say they are struggling to handle their overweight children, who are already trying to eat themselves to death as a result of eating so much. According to their mother, Pragnaben Nandwana, all three suffer breathing problems, even in their sleep, as a result of the health problems caused by excessive eating.
Four-old-daughter Amisha weighs 51 kilos, three times more than an average child her age. Older sister Yogita weighs in at 33.5 kilos while brother Harsh already weighs 16 kilos at 18 months old.
The children’s weights are increasing at an alarming rate, although their fourth sibling, Bhavika, has a healthy size. According to MailOnline, when the children were born, their parents, who are from Gujarat in India, didn’t spot anything out of the ordinary, but later did, the moment the children started eating solid foods from very tender age; then they realised something was not right.
The parents said:
'The children seemed healthy and normal when they started on solid food but they started eating like adults – they eat five or six ‘roti’ flat breads. If we didn't feed them, they cried.'
All three of the children continue to consume massive portions of rice, flat bread, and dhal. The father said:
'We were unable to cope, the kids are suffering too. At this age kids generally run and play but ours are having trouble. Once seated, they can't get back up.'
The couple sought treatment to help their children at Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad. Assistant Professor of Paediatrics at Civil Hospital, Doctor Charul Purani pointed out that the children’s case is a rare one.
He said:
‘This is a rare case that I've seen for the first time. They have a lot of respiratory problems. They are not able to breathe properly when they sleep.'
A series of tests were carried out on all three siblings and blood samples were sent to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where they were tested as part of an international study into the genetic causes of child obesity.
Professor of Metabolism, Sadaf Farooqi said:
'We looked at the leptin receptor, which is a gene in the brain that works to regulate appetite, and that's where we found a mutation. All three children have the same problem, which is a defect that stops that gene from working and as a result their brain does not receive the signal telling them they're full.'
As at the time of this story, no treatment has been found for the children’s condition, but the doctors admitted that they are hopeful. The father of the kids also said he has high hopes that treatment will make his children healthy, some day.

Photo of couple caught having sex in a parked car with child in the backseat ...

A Connecticut couple 28-year-old Kimberly Onorato and 27-year-old Rory Clark were arrested by the police after cops say they were caught having sex while parked outside a McDonald's with a toddler in the backseat of the car.
Police say both of them were having sex in the parking lot of McDonald's in Orange, Connecticut, this week when employees called authorities to the scene.

When Orange Police Department officers arrived, employees told them they were leaving work after their shifts ended at about 9 p.m. when they noticed the car parked in the lot with two people cuddling and making out in front seat.

In a statement issued by the Police, they said:
"Employees said a child was in the back seat. These two people appeared to be engaged in sexual activity in the front seats of the car while a small child was seated in the back, watching."
Police say the child was alert and aware of what was going on in front of him. They also said Onorato was partially undressed when they arrived.

However, the couple reportedly told police that they did not have sex, rather they had only been‘cuddling’ after eating in the restaurant earlier.

Both Onorato and Clark were arrested and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and impairing morals of a minor.

The child was taken from the scene and placed into the custody of a relative.

The incident was also reported to the local Department of Children and Families. They are scheduled to appear in front of a judge next month, according to the clerk of courts.
