An armed robber pretending to be a staff of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) was killed in Sharada, Kano state.
According to reports, the armed robber along with other gang members, posed as a PHCN staff to gain access into a woman's house. They then robbed the woman as they
went in with her to get her electricity bill. They stole her valuables, like phone and laptop, but she raised an alarm before they could go far and they were chased by her neighbors.
One of the thieves was caught and beaten to death while the others escaped. By the time police arrived, they met the corpse of the thief and took him away.
