Tinubu tells NURTW boss to, Resign immediatelly

Related imageThe former Governor of Lagos state, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has ordered the state chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Rafiu Olohunwa, to resign following a clash between a faction of the union loyal to him and another loyal to Musiliu Akinsanya alias MC Oluomo.
Trouble had started between the two factions when Olohunwa accused
Oluomo of disrupting a meeting he had convened in Iyana-Ipaja area of the state.
It resulted in a scuffle and Oluomo contacted the former governor to intervene.
Tinubu, who asked Oluomo to come to his house at Bourdillon, Ikoyi, also sent for Olohunwa, who came with thugs and attacked Oluomo and his group in Tinubu’s house.
Though no life was lost, members of the two factions sustained injuries
Tinubu, who was angered by the action of Olohunwa, asked him to leave the premises immediately. He also asked him to resign over his unruly behavior.
It was gathered that MC Oluomo, who is in charge of the collection of tolls from commuter bus drivers in Oshodi area of the state, had complained that he had been sidelined by the leadership of the union in the state.
