Kind Ghanaian including a radio station has come to the aid of a nursing mom, Patience Osafo who was seen in a video which went viral last week Friday being assaulted by a police officer in uniform at a bank. The assault took place right inside the banking hall of Midlands Savings and Loans Limited in Ghana.The shocking part was that some of the bank officials watched as he assaulted her while carrying her months old baby in her hands.
The officer in question, Lance Corporal Godzi Frederick Amanor has since been arrested and would be charged to court immediately investigation has been concluded.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians have rallied round Patience, donating money to the tune of GH?40,000 (approximately, N3,000,000).
MP for Manhyia North, Ashanti region, Hon. Collins Amankwah reportedly donated Ghc2,000 and promised to expand her business, while Ghana's Peace FM also donated Ghc 2,000 for her medical bills and 5,000 in cash.
The assault was also publicly condernmed by the Ghanain President.
