Seeing my daughter go to university hasn’t been easy – Mercy Aigbe

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has expressed how emotionally draining it has been to live without her 17-year-old daughter, Michelle who recently started university education in Canada.
The actress told Punch Newspaper’s Sunday Scoop that Michelle’s absence has not been easy on her.
Aigbe said, “We’ve been together for 17 years before she had to go to university. Letting her go is very emotional for me. I still miss her a lot. She’s a big girl now and she’s starting her own journey in life. I have brought her up well; I have inculcated the values I want her to live by in her. I have given her the foundation and I wish her the best. She’s always in my prayers. It’s just painful that after university, she’ll probably get married”.

The actress who is known for her exceptionally good looks also spoke on her beauty regimen stating that the clichéd “drink plenty of water, eat fruits and vegetables” advice is the actual secret to her graceful look. She said, “I try to live a healthy lifestyle. I try as much as possible to stay away from fatty foods and I drink lots of water. I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. I know this may sound cliché but that is how I’ve been able to look younger than my age. I also exercise when I have the time to because I’m not able to do that as much as I would have liked because of busy schedule. Anytime I’m free, I jump on the treadmill and burn some calories”.

Aigbe added that her newest project, 77 Bullets is in the works and will soon be released in Nigerian cinemas.
