Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi has reacted to the new trend whereby people get abused based on the number of followers they have on social media.This new trend is common among g celebrities who feel the amount of followers on their page gives them a status that places them above others.
In a tweet, Adesua Etomi wondered when the number of followers one has became a thing that validates us in life.
She tweeted:
Welcome to this generation, where people can now abuse you based on the number of followers you have. E.g “see her/him…she/he doesn’t even have up to 500k followers.” Like…I mean…but wait…see ehn? Followers! Is that now what validates us?
