ABEOKUTA – Comrade Oginni Sunday Olaposi, the factional Secretary of Labour Party in Ogun State, has distanced himself from the alleged attack on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Appeal Court President.
Oginni in a press statement on Monday in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, said the position of Labour Party on Ogun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal is total obedience to the rule of law.
He said the party’s petition marked EPT/OG/ GOV/02/2019 would be pursued to the letter.
It would be recalled that the party’s Chairman in the state, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi, had on Sunday accused Vice President Yemi Osinbajo of masterminding the disbandment of the Election Petition Tribunal in the state headed by Justice Chinwe Onyeabor.
But Oginni in the early hours of Monday denounced the party chairman’s statement.
He said, “The Authentic Labour Party in Ogun State hereby dissociates itself from the wishful thinking of Abayomi Oluwafemi Arabambi’s PLC sinking Political Canoe and his pay masters.
“The Authentic Labour Party Executive in Ogun State is scheduled to meet at the State Secretariat, Adatan, Abeokuta on Tuesday to deliberate on the matters before the Tribunal and the Federal High Court.
“However, the position of our great party on Ogun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal is total obedience to the rules of Law. Ogun Labour Party’s Petition EPT/ OG / GOV/02/2019 was sustained and vigorously been pursued to the letter.”
