Stop shaming people about getting pregnant – Actress Toyin Abraham

Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham tells her followers tp stop shaming married couples or individuals about getting pregnant.
Toyin Abraham took to her Instagram page to address the issue of shaming people about getting pregnant.She begs followers to stop shaming people because God gives at His own time. She wrote;

STOP SHAMING PEOPLE ABOUT GETTING PREGNANT. GOD GIVES AT HIS OWN TIME. PLEASE LET’S STOP IT.

The 34 year old actress who got married to Adeniji Johnson in 2013 but later got divorced, is yet to have a child of her own. With the increasing rate at which ladies crossing the age of 30 years are being shamed to get pregnant especially after marriage, it is necessary for the actress to address this issue.

Just like Nse Ikpe-Etim who had faced several backlash for not getting pregnant since she got married to her husband, she had to announce that she removed her womb to live a normal life.  The actress made this revelation at an event in Lekki, Lagos, ahead of the release of a new movie, tagged, ‘Conversation with Nse’, where she bared out her hearts to the her fans and the teeming audience. She said;

“I was told I couldn’t have kids. And so, I had to have a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) to make me have a life again and to stop going through what I was going through. And I’m literarily telling women and men, it really doesn’t matter if you can’t bear children. What really matters is what you would do for the world, for the universe.”
