The late Baba Ọba, Lukman Arohunfale, a revered socialite and traditionalist, passed away under circumstances already sparking fierce controversy. His death comes just days after he publicly accused the newly installed Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty Oba Akeem Adéyẹmọ Owoade, of allegedly ordering his courtiers to beat him mercilessly during a recent courtesy visit to the Oyo palace in Nigeria. Actor Ben Unwin has died at the age of 41. The Home And Away actor's death was confirmed by New South Wales police in a statement to Yahoo Lifestyle. It was revealed that his body was discovered last week on 14 August but the cause of death is currently unknown.
The statement reads: "Police attended Minyon Falls, Whian Whian, responding to a concern for welfare. The body of a 41-year-old man was located. The death has not been treated as suspicious."
Unwin played Jesse McGregor on Home And Away from 1996-2000, and later returned to the soap in 2002-2005.
He was nominated for a British National Television Award in 1997 for Most Popular Newcomer, and for Most Popular New Talent at the 1997 Logie Awards. After leaving the show, Unwin took a break from acting and went onto a complete a law degree before working as a senior solicitor.
