A report indicates that at least seven people have died with 40 others injured in an accident at Ejisu-Konongo on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.
The accident occurred when a Kumasi-bound STC bus with registration number GR 2565 with 17 passengers collided with a Temsa Imperial Express bus numbered – GE 5959-19 at the Kubease portion of the road. The incident occurred on Friday
According to police report, the seven victims died on the spot while the injured have been rushed to the Ejisu and Komfo Anokye government hospitals.
Bodies of the deceased persons were conveyed and deposited at the Juaben Government hospital mortuary for identification and autopsy, police report said.
