Na wa o...Nigerian Embassy in New York are not issuing passports for this reasons...

According to reports from some LIB readers present in New York, the Consulate General of Nigeria is not issuing passports to Nigerian Citizens and this has been going on for a while. The Consulate reportedly posted a notice which revealed that they would not be processing passport applications until further notice and this is due to some technical issues they are currently facing.

Even people that have paid for the passports are also not getting any good response. Hence, Nigerian Citizens have to apply for visa before coming back to their country. Is the Nigerian government aware of this? These are photos from a protest at the embassy today...
