Protection of the rights of relatives of those killed and injured in the fire at the Kemerovo SEC "Winter Cherry" will be occupied by a special ombudsman. This was announced at a briefing on Monday, May 28, by the regional governor Sergei Tsivilev , Interfax reports .
"This does not cancel communication with all of our administration specialists, but everyone now has an additional channel," explained Tsivilev.
The new position was taken by the director of children's sports school for table tennis Lyudmila Maslayeva. "She has direct access to me," the governor said.
Work ombudsman will be on a voluntary basis, not officially being an employee of the administration.
Maslayeva has already been presented to those whose rights she will defend.
On May 16, it was reported that Igor Vostrikov , who in the fire at the Kemerovo shopping center killed three children, his wife and sister, will take part in the primaries of the "United Russia" for elections to the regional council of deputies. Vostrikov was the organizer of a rally unhappy with the actions of the authorities of citizens at the walls of the administration of the Kemerovo region a few days after the fire.
The fire in the SEC "Winter Cherry" occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, March 25. In the factory building, rebuilt under the shopping center, emergency exits and an alarm system did not work. Killed 60 people, most of them children. The investigation considers several versions of what happened, including arson and electrical wiring. Eight people were arrested in the case.
