Police arrest man for alleged murder of 20-year-old woman lailasnewsA 27-year-old man identified as Idris Ishola, has been arrested by operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit in the Imo State Police Command, over his alleged connection with kidnapping and murder.The Osun state indigene who was arrested in Nkpolu, Rumuigbo in Rivers State on August 17 in connection with the murder of 20-year-old Oluchi Odumele of Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State, is said to be the leader of the gang, who had kidnapped six persons from the state.

The State Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi,  who paraded the suspect said;

“Idris Ishola is the principal suspect who was involved in the kidnapping of six victims and the murder of one Miss Oluchi Odumele, 20, of Orsu in lmo State.

“ldris lshola, who is 27 years from Osun State, was arrested at Nkpolu Rumuigbo in Rivers State on August 17, 2018.”
The police boss who disclosed that the suspect has confessed to the crime and other kidnapping incidents within the state with his gang members, promised that Ishola would be charged to court to answer for his crime.

Galadanchi said, “This is the era of community policing, an era of change, accountability and transparency. See something; say something and our society will be better.”

This follows up report of a kidnap kingpin, Godwin Onyebuchi, also known as Papa G,  who was nabbed by the operatives of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Imo State Police Command. He was reportedly arrested in his hideout in a polytechnic hostel.The arrest of Onyewuchi, who is also suspected to be a serial killer, made residents of Owerri to jubilate, including police officers who gathered to have a glimpse of him. Southern City News gathered that the suspect, who had escaped arrests, had been on the wanted list of the police for a long time. According to a police source, who does not want his name in print, Onyebuchi was nabbed at Solo Lodge hostel located around Federal Polytechnic, Nekede.
