Armed street boys clash at Lagos Island

Residents of Lagos Island, have raised an alarm following a clash which saw gunshots fired by armed street boys in the area.It was gathered that the clash was between Onala boys and Okepopo boys, and the armed street boys who had cutlasses, guns and other weapons fought in the streets which caused pandemonium in the area. It was gathered that the thugs fight all the time in the area, and the police with a station located at Adeniji Street does nothing to stop the crisis.
While residents of Lagos Island called on the state government to find a way to stop the re-occurring clash, multiple sources claimed that some time ago, two people were killed and many others injured as suspected hoodlums from the Okepopo area of Lagos Island in Lagos State went on rampage to avenge an earlier attack on one of them from their counterparts from Onola.


Eyewitnesses claimed that one Small Shakiru was killed around Agarawu on Monday night, while another unidentified person was also macheted to death by the rampaging Okepopo Boys. It was further gathered that the armed street boys took advantage of the pandemonium created by their activities, to rob unsuspecting residents and loot shops around Onola, Hafiner and Andrew.



The police were however accused of arresting innocent people, who have nothing to do with the fight. Facebook user Farouk Atanda Rasak wrote;

This is what is happening at Lagos Island and police stations are close to this area most especially central police station at Adeniji, but they didn’t do anything abt it instead they were busy arresting innocent people.Here is a video of the fight below;
