Bisi Alimi, who is commonly known as a Nigerian gay rights activist, took to his Facebook page to rant about the LGBT community that believes he owes them.
He wrote;“
There is an idea floating around that I owe the Nigeria LGBT community something! I don’t know what you all think but I need to make it very clear, “my activism is very personal”. I am not doing what I am doing for you, I am doing it for me, if you benefit from it, then good luck to you! I owe you nothing!”
Bisi Alimi and his husband, Anthony are currently in Lagos for their holiday.
The United Kingdom-based Nigerian gay wedded his British lover, Anthony in 2016.
Alimi gained international attention when he became the first Nigerian to come out openly on television.
