CCTV footage shows moment an Uber driver was robbed and kidnapped in Lagos

The shocking moment a driver was robbed and killed by yet-to-be-identified men on Wednesday, in Obalende area of Lagos state was captured on CCTV.

An Uber driver was on Wednesday, September 5th, robbed at gunpoint by some criminals in

Lagos. According to a police source who spoke with LIB, the driver got a ride request from the said men via the Uber app.

When he arrived at the pickup location, the criminals boarded his vehicle, flashed their guns at him and took him to an ATM in Moloney street in Lagos Island where they feigned they wanted to steal from him.

They, however, did not take any money from his account, and instead forced him into the boot of his Toyota Corolla 2006 car with registration number GGE 740 ER.

The criminals then drove him to the Third mainland bridge where they dropped him off.

The CCTV footage obtained from a bank shows the period the criminals took the driver to the ATM. The victim who is an Uber driver was killed by hoodlums who also took his car.
