OKARE OMO ABOLUBO: Aboderin resigns from Ajimobi cabinet

Aboderin resigns from Ajimobi cabinet
The Senior Special Assistant to Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Public Affairs, Deji Aboderin, has resigned his appointment with the state government.
Aboderin said he arrived at the decision so that he could focus on his political ambition in the state. He said he would seek the All Progressives Congress ticket to represent the Ibadan North East/South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

He said, “After serving the present government in various capacities, I have decided to resign my appointment to focus on politics. My ambition is to contest for the Ibadan North East/South Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives on the platform of the APC. My intention to contest in 2019 was not borne out of selfish interest but to genuinely represent my people and contribute to the development of the area.
“I have made wide consultation with the party leaders in the state and at my constituency, seeking their support and expressing my desire to serve and how I intend to transform the area. My family had in the past produced politicians who made a big mark and etched their names in the minds of the people. For many years, I have been in contact with my constituency, making frequent trips home from abroad to empower thousands of people before joining the government. I thank Governor Ajimobi for the trust he has in me and for giving me the opportunity to serve in his government.”
